Idea of improvment.

_As we need More horizontal field of view, than vertical one.
_As the screen have to be splitted in two for each eyes.

Why not having the screen disposed vertically ?

So we would have
1080p*960 per eyes instead of 960*1080

That would be 10% more horizontal pixel, with the same screen.

You try to be clever like if you were a lawyer, but here no one give a shit about this.

It is NOT interesting, and NO ONE CARE.

Go prove something to someone who actually care, and let me alone, for the THIRD FUCKING TIME
Do you have that much time to waste ?

EDIT: This post SHOULD be considered as friendly and valuable advice. I have high hopes (but low expectations) that it will be accepted as such.

You obviously did not read other posts in this thread, like this one:

The forum is big enough, just ignore me plz.
You never accept to be wrong, and I don't want to talk with you.

The MasterGeek is as his name explains, on this forum he is very well respected. He does not troll, he informs. He gives proposed ideas thoughtful consideration, even more so than the one who originated the idea does, and offers solutions/critiques. When you are in a forum of "this" nature, which is meant for improvement of the Oculus and Oculus implementations you should always look at things objectively, and realize that even if you believe in your idea there is a chance it could be a bad idea, unable to work in reality or effectively. If you keep this in mind then you can accept criticism and advice without being offended, and to take it as an opportunity to learn, grow, and maybe even improve upon your own ideas. So feel blessed that he chooses to comment on your post and share with you his wealth of knowledge. :ugeek:

K-- comes off as merely arrogant since he talks about how awesome he is at everything, but doesn't seem to actually produce much to support this while making assertions that everyone else is close minded and can't see why his unconventional thinking is so superior to what actually works.
If you talk about how awesome you are, everyone will just think you are a blowhard. If you do awesome things, people will realize you are awesome.

So clever. and witty too, although I recall reading that somewhere before, so you should give credit to those you are quoting...

You now are denying that those Tgaud quotes are yours, even though last time I posted them you implicitly acknowledged that they were yours. Your inconsistent claims and denials are rather confusing.

As long as anybody makes technically incorrect or grossly inaccurate claims (with no supporting evidence), I will keep correcting such posts. Your posts will be treated the same as confusing posts from others that need correction or clarification, regardless of how many times you insert the word "FUCK" in your posts. I will continue to try to minimize blatant FUD and staggering bogosity from these forums, as I have done at other forums and other websites. I clean up after myself AND OTHERS.
Try and leave this world a little better than you found it.

You take offense much too easily, where none was intended, but you sure love to dish it out. That may never change, so I feel sorry for you, and for those who have to deal with you too. Really, I do. But like I said (and you obviously did not read), you need to improve your communications skills by thinking your ideas through, and by providing supporting evidence, and by using images and diagrams where words alone are insufficient. This is good advice for anybody, and I really recommend that you use it, which is why I said it again here.

EDIT: And yes, I did study constitutional law for quite awhile, with a weekend legal study group. I have a nice collection of law books, and history books, and medical books, and technical books for many sciences, and a large collection of thesis and research papers as well. And I have read almost all of them too (instead of watching television). I have a lifetime filled with my own independent research and hands-on experimentation, using a well-stocked supply of chemicals, components, tools, obscure and interesting artifacts, and other resources. Unlike "some" people, I actually KNOW the stuff that I am talking about. My wealth of knowledge and experience harvested from all these resources has allowed me to push my personal boundary between "possible" and "impossible" much further "out there" than the limits most people set for themselves. And many well-respected medical and technical professionals have claimed that I am "extremely clever" too, so who knows, it might even be true.

As a third party member to this argument (and not knowing either member's reputation from other forums) I have to say I tend to agree with geekmaster. Yes in the beginning he was insulting Tgaud, but that was because the idea was written in a way to be completely ridiculous, with no images or anything to support the text (as geekmaster stated in the last post). Since then, he has tried to be diplomatic, and whether from a language barrier or through the sheer determination to fight, Tgaud has shot both attempts down and then continued to insult (again through text alone) geekmaster.

Can I ask for this thread to be closed and another be opened that hosts only the IDEA being discussed here? I hope that it would remove the fighting (we can credit Tgaud for starting the idea although so far I don't see much participation on his part int he rest of the idea discussion). Does this make sense or should we all just tolerate a fight and try to enjoy the attempts at trolling each other?

The one who starts it gets punished. That has been the way since caveman times and it should continue to be the way.

Actually, the only thing I said that COULD be interpreted as an insult was literally a compliment to his "math wizardry":
    Another math wizard, I see...

I then corrected his faulty math, so I suppose "math wizard" could be considered as sarcasm, so sorry about that. The "another" part was because I had just gotten done correcting faulty math for another poster in another thread, and it was fresh in my mind.

Instead of all these crazy tricks, how about changing the screen to a nice, cool, high pixel density OLED from Samsung (or whoever will be on board for giving the best price). That way the screen can be straight or curved. Would drop the power requirements as well as prevent the unit from heating up too much.

we should just use 2 seperate displays one fore each eye (with small enough displays of course)

When Oculus VR will be a big enough company they will probably have enough money to make their own screen especially for the Rift. For the moment tho, they still depend on existing screens conceived for other big companies, mainly screens made for smartphones or tablets. Do you know about such a device that would have a HD square screen ? I don't, and this is why this solution is impossible right now.

Is $2,000,000,000.00 big enough? Bring on the custom screens!
