I tested 1.7 and I had to revert back to the hack - 1.7 doesn't seem to include the fix at all.

Man, I really wish there was an easy, non-technical way to test this out for the average non-developer.  I'd love to help test it

Cyber, can you kindly confirm if the fix was part of 1.7?

So I downloaded and ran the Technolust Cinematic demo ( https://t.co/FEaN6DKUz9 )
When you hold the space bar, it displays various info, including the IPD.
It's still 64 here :( So doesn't look like it's fixed for me...

As far as I know, it was fixed. And the quick command line test I made confirms it working. However, I have heard conflicting reports from users so I wonder if it matters which SDK was used, or if there is some other circumstance or unique software configuration that makes the problem happen.

Is there an official test we can run? Clearly something is off here and this issue in my opinion is fairly serious.

Cyber, is 1.7 still saving settings to:
C:\Users\XXXXXXXX\AppData\Local\Oculus\ProfileDB.json?

My ProfileDB.json file has not been updated since June, even when I change my IPD in Oculus home.

If the IPD setting is not being saved to the above file any longer, where / which file is this value being saved to?

No, ProfileDB.json should not be used, and you should delete the file if you are using a consumer Rift. The IPD value is read directly from the hardware (since you can adjust the IPD slider at any time) and not saved in a profile. That may be part of your problem.
