Is anyone enjoing Rift without sickness? How long?

I would like to ask the community your experiences with the Rift (DK2) because I'm beginning to think that there is nobody out there enjoying the Rift for more than 15 minutes.

The only demos that work for me are the ones that doesn't involve camera motion inside the game.
Some other demos give me sickness in just 15 or 30 seconds

Please answer here with your opinion and your tech specs and time using the Rift without sickness.

You should try the mouse and KB. Would be interesting to see if it makes a difference.

I did, actually, and it did help. Probably because the movement is so much faster, but also more precise. It's something they're aware of, they mentioned it several times at OC yesterday, that rotation especially is very difficult for a lot of people.

One thing that is kind of weird is that once in a while i get a flashback. I was eating lunch the other day and i just had a weird moment where a section of my view looked digital, like i was looking through a rift. Anyone else get that ?

I did have that happen once, it was very brief and I barely caught that it even happened. I think it's kind of like an afterimage, your eyes begin to compensate inside the RIft to cancel out the screen door effect, and that can carry over temporarily into the real world. Or else it just proves the theory that we're living inside of a gigantic simulation and that the Rift is actually helping us break through. Not that I hold with ideas like that, of course...

Wow ! It is so good to know I am not the only one that gets really sick... but I sure hope to build some tolerance because at the moment I cannot even go back into it I became so ill last nite :(

I made the mistake of Tuscany Demo as the first and that is just plain bad for me, dizziness right away when moving. Then I tried Sightline and the judder was there, next I tried LFS and pCars both are awesome but terrible motion sickness for me. But I though I should suck it up and went back in the next day/night onto pCars and tired Elite Dangerous but as soon as I banked my Viper I felt like hurling !!!

So it is not good for me at the moment and there needs to be huge warnings on some games like that AAaaAAaaAAcolus game which made my stomach go straight thru the top of my brain and then back thru my eyeballs... that really felt like I was about to die.

Now I dont know what to do because at the moment I cannot use the dk2 as I feel so sick in the head and dizzy but I am hoping that this goes away ... is it better to stay off it or go right back in again ???

Sadly I can play elite dangerous for only 15 to 20 mins, after that my eyes get very tired, and my head want to explode.
I really hope is just a matter of optimisation.

I'm very easy to get motion sickness (I get it going on a seesaw...) and with DK1 was terrible: no more than 10 minutes, and the rest of the day was spent trying to recover.

DK2 is another planet for me: of course it depends a lot on what you use, but generally I'm completely sickness-free.
When I try something like War Thunder or E: D, I have zero motion sickness after a couple of hours of playing.

As for Elite, I had a lot of success by focusing on something outside the ship while banking. For example, when you drop out of hyperspace, but are still in supercruise on your way to the station, target the station and then keep your eyes on it outside the window while you position your ship. For whatever reason, the movement of the ship becomes very natural at that point, and I got almost zero disorientation.
