RiftDotNet exception

I'm using the RiftDotNet libraries and the code from this tutorial: http://visualstudiomagazine.com/articles/2013/12/02/building-a-virtual-reality-game-part-2.aspx

(It's for an old XNA project, not MonoGame.)

But I'm getting a TypeInitializationExeption "The type initializer for 'RiftDotNet.Factory' threw an exception." when the new HMDManager() is created in Initialize().

Is anyone else having this problem, or using RiftDotNet and got it working?

I tried my best at a step-by-step tutorial, you can find it here: https://developer.oculusvr.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=6485

    Hello,

I am attempting to build RiftDotNet and I get a few errors in the build.

Spefifically, there are a few references to seemingly outdated functions on RiftDotNet's part when it comes to the "OVR::DeviceClass" object:

    • GetRefCount. RiftDotNet calls this as part of the OVR::DeviceClass object. RiftDotNet is expecting an UINT32 here. Anyone know of the equivalent function or output RiftDotNet should be calling or using?

    • GetYawMultiplier. RiftDotNet calls this as part of the OVR::DeviceClass object. RiftDotNet is expecting an float here. Anyone know of the equivalent function or output RiftDotNet should be calling or using?

    • SetYawMultiplier. RiftDotNet calls this as part of the OVR::DeviceClass object to set a float value here. Anyone know of the equivalent function or output RiftDotNet should be calling or using?

    Thank you for your time.

Likewise I am receiving the same error.

The original RiftDotNet repository on GitHub will not compile with OVR SDK 2.5. Clone the latest forked RiftDotNet repository at https://github.com/pszmyd/RiftDotNet instead and point it your local OVR SDK 2.5. I'm working on updating RIftDotNet to support chromatic aberration correction as well as expose the SteroConfig utility classes to C#.

I've updated RiftDotNet to use the new Oculus SDK 0.3.1 and .NET 4.0 Framework at https://github.com/vogelvision/RiftDotNet. I'm also working on getting an XNA demo working -https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1856355/OVR_031_XNA4_Test.zip. I've put a post at viewtopic.php?f=20&t=8331 with my current progress.
