"Under Review" for the past 4 weeks & no communication, help

Hi there,

We submitted a test version to the developer portal 4 weeks ago and haven't received any communication about it so far. The status has been "under review" ever since we submitted it. I opened two support tickets to get some more clarity about the submission procedure and again no response whatsoever. Not sure what to do now?

Are you able to give some information regarding the delay to reviewing PC submissions?
What is the plan to clear the backlog?
Is oculus looking for a validation partner to improve the process?

Basically we've been focusing specifically on games that were making it to the launch (and most of these were from developers we had previous relationship with). I think in the near future, after launch, there will be time to review submissions from the broader community. I know that's not great, but we are doing what we can. Thanks.

Thanks for the info. That helps us to make the decisions to wait for the Store or to self host\other site host our games.

    Thanks

Hi everyone. I've finally heard from Oculus regarding my app which is under review. A short email but the general gist of it was that they want to loop closer at it but need me to update my build to 1.3 sdk.

This is not a problem at all but I thought I'd mention it here so if anyone else has submitted there apps and currently have a build using the older sdk note that you should update your builds soon so that they can be review straight away.

I'll keep you informed on my progress :)

    Hi Phileday,

Thanks for keeping us updated. I was actually wondering if we should be updating for 1.3, so I now I have my answer. Will update my build sometime this week hopefully.

Oculus are obviously and understandably very busy at the moment, I dont think they are 'closing any doors' so don't lose hope.

Good luck to everyone getting their apps approved!

I very much suspect your right. It's just a matter of time :) Once the initial clambering over of the first release has subsided then I image they will start processing all the currently Under Review programs.

Everyone also still "Under Review"? Has anyone been accepted/rejected ... anything?

I had some comunication with them but my program is now currently undergoing a refamp with a new video plugin so I've been advised to resubmit once the updates are in place. Seems resonable although it does take a long time to get feeback etc. I'm ok with the reasoning as I make a video player and don't want people to find problems with it from the start. Having a stable video player which can play most formats seems to be a bit more difficult then expected :)

The one thing I would like to see in the Store is an easy way to refund people if they aren't happy. This would make it much easier for Early Access type apps to feel confident that they aren't trapping people with a payment and would give people more confidence to try new ideas knowing if they have trouble they could easily get a refund.

Just throwing it out there :)
