Critical Bug: Infinite Registration Loop and Verification Failure on Meta for Developers

Hi Meta team,

Same problem here, from Peru, for a week now.

I enter the email code, "Contact info" turns green, I select "Developer" and click "Complete registration" — and the wizard sends me straight back to the email code screen with all progress lost. No error message. Every attempt, every day.

This blocks me completely. I need the developer account to connect the WhatsApp Cloud API to a number that is already approved in my business portfolio. And I cannot use the developer bug tool, since it requires the very account this bug prevents me from creating.

Could someone from Meta escalate this and reset the registration state on the affected accounts? Thank you.

Meta for Developers Registration Loop - Complete Registration Sends Me Back to Contact Info

Hello Meta Support and Community,

I am experiencing the same registration bug that several other users have recently reported.

I am unable to complete my Meta for Developers registration.

The registration flow works normally until the final step:

Register -> Contact Info -> Email Verification -> About You -> Select "Developer" -> Complete Registration

My email verification is accepted successfully, and the Contact Info step is marked as completed.

However, when I select "Developer" under About You and click "Complete Registration", the registration does not finish.

The page briefly shows a step/state change and then sends me back to the previous verification/contact step.

The registration is never completed and I cannot access My Apps or create a developer app.

I have already tried:

Chrome

Chrome Incognito

Brave

Microsoft Edge

Different devices

Different networks

Clearing cookies and cache

Disabling extensions

Re-verifying my email

Waiting and trying again later

The behavior remains exactly the same.

I also checked the browser Network tab using Developer Tools.

The email confirmation request is successfully processed by Meta and the email verification is accepted.

When clicking "Complete Registration", I can briefly see something related to a "step" appearing in the page, but it disappears almost immediately and the registration goes back to the previous step.

In some attempts, I cannot identify a final registration request being sent before the wizard resets.

This makes the issue appear to be related to the registration wizard/state rather than email verification itself.

Could someone from Meta please investigate whether there is an account-side or backend issue affecting developer registration?

Please also confirm whether there is a known issue with the "About You -> Complete Registration" step and whether the registration state can be reset or manually completed.

Several other users appear to be experiencing the same registration loop recently, so this may be a broader platform issue rather than an account-specific problem.

Hello.I would like to add some additional information to my support case. The issue is still occurring.I am located in Kazakhstan and I am using Windows 11 with Google Chrome. I am registering for Meta for Developers using my personal Facebook account.The verification code is accepted successfully, but after I select Developer on the About You page and click Continue, I am redirected back to the verification code page. The same process repeats again.Verification itself works correctly. The problem occurs after completing the About You step.My support case ID is 2066769187541272.Please confirm whether my case is related to the known Meta for Developers registration loop and whether there is an internal bug or incident ID. Is there an estimated timeframe for a fix?

I would like to clarify the issue with the verification process.

The problem occurs even when I enter a random or incorrect code. After entering any code or numbers, I am redirected to the “About You” page. Then, after the “About You” step, I am redirected back to the verification code page again.
So the process continuously repeats: Verification code → About You → Verification code → About You.

This happens regardless of which code or numbers I enter.

Meta for Developers registration is stuck in an infinite backend verification loop for me too
Email verification succeeds and the About You / Developer role step completes, but after selecting Complete Registration the process returns to email verification.
Graph API Explorer subsequently reports that this Facebook account is still not registered as a Facebook Developer.
This reproduces consistently and appears to be a server-side registration-state failure. Please reset or complete the Developer registration state for my account meta or Facebook team. 

I’m experiencing the exact same issue. I’ve been trying to complete the Facebook Developer registration for 10 days straight, but I’m still stuck in the same registration loop and cannot proceed.

I’ve tried multiple times, but the issue persists. This definitely looks like a bug on the developer registration process and needs to be fixed. It’s very frustrating to spend so many days trying to complete a registration that should normally take just a few minutes.

I hope Meta can look into this and resolve the issue soon.

I wonder if there's anyone at Meta aware of this issue. I have a client project that is blocked by this step, been trying since monday...
