Hello,Is there a limit on the numbers of entitlements a player can get?Not asking about the quantities but about the SKU.We are making a game in which we would like to sell skins, but unfortunately, it seems that after the 20th purchase (by purchase, read "grantItemToPlayer"), the 21st is "overwriting" the 1st, making a kind of rotation of purchased items. Is that an intended effect?Has "getPlayerEntitlements" a pagination system to use? Thanks :)Sylafrs (@Virtuallyz)
Anyone else unable to get into the editor after the update?
I build with primitives directly inside the Horizon Worlds app and not on the desktop editor. I have already reinstalled the app and checked all the settings available after a day of back and forth trouble-shooting with a Meta support person. Rebooted both the app and system but the problem persists. I can no longer rotate anything using the rotation arrows in any of my old builds or any brand new build started from scratch. This is not specific to an object, gizmo or asset. The rotation arrows are unable to rotate anything, even a simple cube. Have already reinstalled and rebooted several times now in the past week but the problem persists. This is only 1 of the 2 issues that I'm experiencing. The second is that all my previously published worlds using the "simple noise" texture on objects are swapping that with the "Speckled Spots" texture. This has happened to worlds that have been untouched for years and even happening to new worlds. When hovering into the object with the glitched
I been trying find File back update for scripting and it didn't appear when i start new world. What can I do? it didnt show any update world
Not sure if this is the best place to post this, but we are running into an issue with our player persistent variables not saving data between sessions while a player is in our recently Published world. We have confirmed the following:Saving and loading works fine in the Editor (and has for months), including between sessions.Saving something from an Editor for a player does successfully get loaded by that player in a Published session.Nothing is being saved from the Published world back to our player persistent variables.Has anyone else encountered an issue like this? Or is there potentially a configuration step we missed when publishing?
I have a world that is no where near capacity. However, to open up a menu in VR or to add anything takes ten years. The world is delayed times a million 😩. Anyone experiencing this and know a work around?
I need to replace default Meta avatars with custom in-game avatars. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any documentation about doing this. I saw in another post that this is not possible. But the world 'Marble Grow & Fight' the default avatar is changed to a marble.Any assistance from the community is appreciated.
Hi, I have 2 colleagues who want to submit for the Meta Horizon Creator Competition: Mobile Innovation and applied to MHCP about a week ago in order to do that. The page mentions an expedited process for the contest, could they expect to hear back before submission date next week potentially? I'd like to be able to build worlds with them. Cheers
When I attach my typescript to the ui gizmo (old ui) , the ui renders but it does not display everything as it should. When I duplicate the ui panel it renders everything as it should. Then, when I click on the buttons nothing happens, but if I duplicate it. The response of my clicks previously shows up after duplication. I have to keep duplicating to see the response of my clicks. The script works perfect, except this. I am stuck any suggestions please and thank you in advance.
I consistently see this issue where the first time I load into a mobile game from the horizon app the game initially loads in at the wrong resulution. Scaled up and noticably blurry. If I exit and re-enter quickly I will load back in where I left off and the resolution will be correct. It will not correct itself unless I leave and come back. I see this on Samsung Note 10+ or a Galaxy S25 Ultra.Has anyone else noticed this? Are there any ways to work around it so that it will refresh to the right scale without users having to leave and come back? I captured footage of a live game below as an example that I think is easier to understand than my own app. What you'll notice below is that the image on the left from before reload appears scaled up and lower resolution than it does when I leave and come back. I see it it in most games I try including my own projects. You can see screen capture of before and after exiting and reopening the game below.
Hi All,I'm creating a Giant Skee Ball game using the Desktop Editor. I've been using the AI generator to create scripts and connect them to game assets, but after many attempts, I can't get the core mechanics working. I've been able to create a clickable menu that works in VR and the desktop editor but nothing happens when I tap on it in mobile.Any suggestions? Ideally I'd like vertical scrolling to work in the menu as well so I can add more items.
hi I used noesis and have a video mp4 which plays in it. i put it into meta and the UI is empty and invisible though i can see the backpanel. Does meta support noesis media feature (video) at all? or is this a issue on my part
I'm having trouble getting started with the Horizon Creator Program. I am 22 years old and based in Mexico City (which, as far as I know, is not a restricted country). My Meta Quest profile shows that my account is in good standing and compliant with the rules. I am currently studying Electrical Engineering at UNAM (C.U. campus). While I am not yet an established developer, I have experience creating skins and programed maps in other platforms, and my goal is to become a content creator in Meta Horizon Worlds — starting with Meta Horizon Worlds for Desktop, custom clothing and more. Together with my partner, who is developing sports content and blogs, we plan to create virtual spaces where her community can gather, and integrate digital merchandise to conect with our comunity in Instagram. Given this background, I would like to understand if there is any limitation or issue with my eligibility, since I believe I should at least have the possibility to access and
I've finally been making progress with NoesisGUI - I can load text from the dataContext object in TypeScript and handle button clicks. But has anyone been able to load an image in response to a button click? The image Source tag does not seem to accept a string value.
I've contacted support and they said i should check out the community forums and post feedback which i already did and they closed my ticket saying these features are not available, even though i was told they are available for everyone in the US. I'm so confused and don't really know whether they are available in the US or not. I have all the rest of the GenAI features but not the NPC features.
There is a purchase issue going around when it come to people trying to buy my clothes some people can purchase my clothes with no issues then there are people that are not able to purchase my clothes. Few people have contacted me with this issue not sure how to fix that.
I noticed recently there was a change to my capacity meter in that it is now showing lower figures than expected. My mesh/vertex count was 135% and now showing as 55%, simulation and animation was 75% and now is 28% - is this a glitch or have we somehow been given more capacity? I haven’t made any major changes to the world that would account for such a drop in ‘usage’ (Witch Woods Hollow) so a little confused! 😵💫 anyone experiencing the same?
Hello! I'm a developer based in Singapore with an account with a good standing and I'm above the age of 18. However when applying for the Meta Horizon Creator Program I keep getting this errorWe're Sorry!Unfortunately, you don't currently meet the minimum eligibility to join the Meta Horizon Creator Program. In order to join the program you must be 18+, reside in a supported country, and have a Meta account in good standing."Is Singapore not part of the supported countries? Thank you!
I Generated about 6 items today after having to wait 24+ hours for the system to start working again and I'm already getting the "Cannot generate that" when I put in a prompt. What exactly is the limit? Did it change recently? Also having issues generating in the desktop editor. Picture for example:
I make astronomy worlds in Horizon Worlds based on data from the European Space Agency's Gaia Mission and offer field trips within these worlds (including starship travel to famous stars like Betelgeuse).Does Meta have any programs to promote the Meta Quest for educational use? I would love to get in touch with Meta staff involved in such programs.I have googled this and seen rather vague references to the Meta for Education program but would like to get in touch with specific staff.
Hello everyone,I'm encountering a frustrating issue while using Persistent Player Variables (PPVs). I have created three Number PPVs (let's call them A, B, and C), but only one of them is successfully loading its value.I am accessing these variables using the standard synchronous method (this.world.persistentStorage.getPlayerVariable(...)).The following line of code, called in my Script 1, consistently generates the warning, and returns the default value (0):const recoilMultiplier = 1 + this.props.multiplierSnap * this.world.persistentStorage.getPlayerVariable(this.player, PersistentVariables_Data.playerPersistentVariables.number.recoilMultiplier);Warning Message:Player persistent variables still initializing... Returning empty stateIn my Script 2 (which runs successfully later in the game cycle), I access the other two variables:const knockbackMultiplier = 1 + this.props.multiplierSnap * this.world.persistentStorage.getPlayerVariable(shooter, PersistentVariables_Data.playerPersistentV
Suddenly, after the last desktop editor update, a strange white circle with a black outline appeared in the center of my 3D model. It was not present when I worked on this world for days and also not in the published version. But yesterday when I visited the world on mobile this circle appeared out of nowhere and I can't seem to find a way to get rid of it.Maybe someone knows a solution or is experiencing the same? It's visible on mobile, web and in the editor, haven't checked VR yet. Link to world: Avatar Clothing Below is a screenshot:And it's even there after deleting lights, models, etc.
Yesterday while building a world, I tried to test the NPC AI Character Generator in the desktop editor. I attempted several times to select that option, but it appeared grayed out/almost unavailable. I tried both the standalone desktop editor and the Link/Meta desktop editor, and had the same issue in both. Is anyone else experiencing this? If so, how do I resolve it? I’m trying to add special NPC characters to the world I’m currently building and would really like to get this in for the holiday, so any information or timing guidance would be very helpful
