PTC v69 Release Thread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v69 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3. 

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v69:


1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v69" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v69 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

      Which is great for you but why do I have the blue circle on mine?  You can tell from looking at those photos that I had the blue circle in passthrough.

      MoonstoneWolf7 have you tried deleting data profile?

      1. Clear boundary history in Physical space/Boundary

      2. Delete share storage in Privacy and Safety/Device Permission 

      3. Clear Physical space history in Privacy and Safety/Device Permission

       

      Reboot afterwards

      Well those didn't work either.  Thank you though for trying to help.  Maybe I have a defective unit.

      I'm going to factory reset.  Maybe that will clear out any mistakes I made.  One of these days I'll learn not to fiddle with settings until I read notes and know more what I'm doing.  I mean I know what I"m doing or I wouldn't be beta testing but I mean other settings that I know nothing about.  Hopefully the 500th factory reset will clear the boundary history and I can get your suggestions to work.

      It cleared it a bit.  Let me ask as I may have messed it up but when setting the boundary is it better to set up and save the different rooms instead of all the rooms on the same floor?  I'm in the basement and there are no doors so basically it is an open floor plan down here.  Just curious as I don't like having to factory reset my boundary all the time. so maybe the entire basement for boundary is what caused the issue?  The multi windows is still a PIA but I guess my opinion doesn't matter on that and I'll have to just deal with it until others who don't like it speak up.

      BTW:  Meta AI no longer works on the headset.

      I figured, I found some people having issues on the app not staying permanently on their headset, it just disappeared from their app after a reboot. Me, I'm having crashes issues.

      BTW your suggestions worked for the passthrough, but if I watch anything off of Meta TV I'm right back to that annoying blue circle

      MoonstoneWolf7 thsts strange.... Meta TV support no boundaries? I have tried it and theres no boundaries on my Meta TV. Youtube VR does have a blue boundaries because its immersive, and since we know in developer mode there a setting to disable blue boundaries for immersive.
