PTC v69 Release Thread

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v69 is starting to roll out soon for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, and Meta Quest 3.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v69:

1) For issues: Go to our
Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v69" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v69 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

If you watch a movie like Faceless Lady or see a concert by John Legend it takes you into immersive mode though.

Interesting, Faceless Lady does have blue boundaries automatically. I'm assuming that some things are not supported on Meta TV having no boundaries. You will have to disable it from Developer Mode unless that has already been done. But I feel like it's because it's using the same software like YouTube VR to make it more immersive and wanted to make sure people are staying safe and they have it enable on certain things on Meta TV

Well it’s fully immersive so has to have boundaries surely? You can’t really have a situation where there aren’t boundaries outwith passthrough.

Anonymous           A lot of what I see on Meta TV are the 180 stuff.  But again, as we stated if Meta allows us to disable boundary while being fully immersive then they should do the same in passthrough since we can at the least make out where we're at in passthrough but can't being fully immersive.

BTW:  Meta AI totally stopped working for me or she doesn't respond.  I may as well just disable and ask Alexa or Siri; she's just as responsive, or he depending upon the voice you choose.   Some users are seeing Meta AI on V68 now.

I mean Meta still shows up, it shows that I enabled the function but it will not respond.

Also is there a way to export the videos and photos I took on my Meta Rayban to the Meta Quest 3?

    August 19, 2024

MoonstoneWolf7 I Don't know much about Meta Rayban, wish I could spend the money lol, but here some info:

    Method 1: Bluetooth Transfer

    1. Ensure your Meta Ray-Ban and Meta Quest 3 are paired via Bluetooth.

    2. On your Meta Quest 3, go to Settings > Devices > Ray-Ban.

    3. Select "Import Media" and choose the files you want to transfer.

    Method 2: Meta Companion App

    1. Download and install the Meta Companion App on your phone or tablet.

    2. Connect your Meta Ray-Ban to the app.

    3. Select the media files you want to transfer and choose "Export to Meta Quest".

    4. Sign in with your Meta account to complete the transfer.

    Method 3: Meta Cloud Storage

    1. Ensure your Meta Ray-Ban is connected to your Meta account.

    2. Go to the Meta Cloud Storage website and sign in with your Meta account.

    3. Select the media files you want to transfer and choose "Download" or "Transfer to Meta Quest".

Once transferred, you can find your videos and photos in the "Gallery" app on your Meta Quest 3.

If you encounter any issues, try restarting your devices or contacting Meta support for assistance!

Hmm, Is the meta companion app the same as the meta horizon?  I don't have that for IOS.  And somehow they pair bluetooth to phone but not to each other.

    August 19, 2024

Meta Companion App is the same as the app store, Meta Horizon
