Hey Everyone,

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v76 started to roll out today for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v76:

1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v76" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v76 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately. Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

Hello everyone who updated to V76 PTC,

Can one of you test or confirm if the usb permission denied error is gone now in the latest version? This is for the HDMI Link app that we use for streaming PS5 or any other display onto Quest 3 using a video capture card.

It was fine before v74 and after that this weird USB permission denied error is occurring, I have reported to Meta earlier and I could see lot of people are facing the same issue in v74 and it would be nice if someone could confirm the error is gone in V76 PTC.

    Thanks in advance.

Instead of adding new features. I want the developers to fix the bugs that are present in the current version (v74) and make it as stable as its predecessors.

v76 PTC on my Quest Pro broke AirLink. Previously I was able to use 650mbps on 6ghz, now no more than 200mbps... The latency is just crazy, it's unusable. The most disgusting thing is that I can't go back to stable v74.

Enlisting members of the public to do work they PAID you to do is the epitome of mediocrity. Your developers should be testing software updates prior to releasing them as opposed to working backwards and expecting people who paid you $500 to enjoy a product to do your jobs for you. You're so terrible at this, I, and a whole lot of people, have become fearful of updates and have consequently turned automatic updates off. I can't enjoy games like VR Table Tennis (which I relied on for fitness) because a random circle keeps popping up and blurring my vision on different sides of the table. The table keeps shifting in the middle of games. It was working perfectly until an update, then went to shyte last December, then started working in February, then went to shyte again after your last update. You guys are a bunch of monkeys playing with software, not knowing or testing what you're doing, and releasing them to the paying public without due diligence. That's bad faith.

why do you guys keep flirting with the idea of removing sideloaded 2d apps. get it through your T skulls a product that cost 500 quid and is the future, should be able to atleast match a 50 quid fire tv stick. amazon has more reasons to interfere with the use of kodi on the fire stick...but don't. stop being busy body DK1s and stick to the reason you are employed...hundred billion wasted congrats i'll head back to my 50 quid hopvision/happrun h1 projector matched with my 50 quid fire tv stick and have a better experience...thanks for nothing.

"Enlisting members of the public to do work they PAID you to do is the epitome of mediocrity. "

Sorry, what? OPTING  into the PTC is enlisting. No one forced you into PTC and you can leave any time you want, It's optional. The whole point of PTC is for threads like this to report bugs, problems and feed back problems so Meta can fix them prior to full release,  not gripe and complain you're not enjoying things when your games aren't running smoothly.

"Your developers should be testing software updates prior to releasing them as opposed to working backwards and expecting people who paid you $500 to enjoy a product to do your jobs for you"

Again, it's voluntary, they aren't expecting us to do their jobs, we do this because we want to help, if you don't, just leave PTC.

You've been having problems for months? This is the PTC thread, if you're in it, why? Just leave and stay on the stable release for fewer problems if it bothers you that much.

Had issues with my microphone not working on multiple apps was told to factory reset and now I'm stuck on an old v76 version as it kicked me from the ptc so now I can't fix the issues I'm having till an official update comes out
