Hello everyone,My name is Mason. I’m a graduate student at Kennesaw State University and a Research Engineer working in XR environments through my Graduate Research Assistant role.I’m currently building a research prototype that connects a mobile companion application to a VR headset so that a VR user can view media stored on their phone inside a VR environment. The system uses a Unity-based mobile application to stream video frames to a Unity-based VR application using WebRTCEnvironmentSender Device: iPhone 15OS: iOS 26.3Engine: Unity 6000.3.8f1 (Unity 6.3)Graphics API: MetalReceiver Device: Meta Quest Pro headset (Unity application)Streaming Technology: Unity WebRTC packageArchitectureMobile Unity app acts as the WebRTC senderQuest Unity app acts as the WebRTC receiverConnection established over LANUDP used for discoveryTCP used for signalingVideo Source: Unity RenderTextureGoalThe goal of the system is to allow a VR user to browse and view media stored on their phone inside a VR envi

MQDH software has been mostly smooth on my windows PC but since upgrading it to v6.3.x I am constantly facing problem with MQDH freezes when scrolling, clicks are unresponsive and switching tabs are also slow. Another problem is every time I turn on my PC, there's this window's permission pop-up asking me to grant access to Quest Link, why does it ask me every single time I turn on my PC? It's super annoying. My PC:- Windows 11- 24 GB RAM- 1 TB Free Storage- AMD Ryzen 5 3400G processor- 2GB AMD Graphics card

On Unity 6, with the V85 of Meta SDK, I choose in "Hand Tracking Support" the "Hands only" mode so controllers aren't supposed to be available in build. However, controllers are still available in my app so I tried to use the "Controller Only" mode so it disable correctly the hand tracking in my app and it shows up a window to use controllers when I try to lauch my app.Why it's not making the same for hand tracking mode ?

Hey! I just updated my Meta Quest and noticed the new navigator has a cool 3D depth effect when you hover over the apps.I want to achieve similar effect for my app. Is there any documentation to achieve this in Unity?Thank you very much.

Hi everyone,I’m currently working with the Meta Interaction SDK in Unreal Engine (UE 5.6) and using hand tracking only (no controllers). I’m using the ISDK Hand Rig Component for both hands. What I’m trying to achieve is:I want to capture the user’s real hand pose at runtime, save that pose, and then reapply (replay) that exact pose later on command. So, basically my requirement is,Is there a built-in way in Meta Interaction SDK to record and replay hand poses ?What’s the best way to temporarily override hand tracking and apply a custom pose?Any guidance, suggestions, or pointers would be really helpful.help in any way you can. Thanks.

My code has an input listener, and I am interested in thumbstick scrollInfo events. They work fine, but if I hold the trigger, the scrollInfo values are always 0, even though the internal PanelInputListener appears to receive the correct values, as it properly scrolls the UI when the trigger is held.I checked values of InputListener.onPointerEvent (addInputListener), and both isdkSystem.registerInteractableObserver and isdkSystem.registerObserver (I also tried creating a panel with PanelInputOptions(0)).1) Is there a solution or workaround? Is it an intended limitation, or do you have plans to improve this?...and extra related questions:2) Is the thumbstick/scrollInfo deadzone ~0.2 intentional? (even though it is set to 0% in the OS)3) Do you plan to expose scrollInfo without requiring pointing at a panel?

Hello, hoping somebody has an answer for this. I've been trying to get this basic voice input working and have been running into an issue.https://developers.meta.com/horizon/documentation/unity/unity-tutorial-basic-voice-input/https://developers.meta.com/horizon/documentation/unity/unity-tutorial-hello-vr/The issue is I receive and error that says...Script 'CharacterController' has the same name as built-in Unity component.AddComponent and GetComponent will not work with this script. Both meta and unity have a CharacterController. I have been unable to get around this as I need the AddComponent and GetComponent to work.I can't be the first person to come across this; particular when its in a hello world example and yet I can't find any information on it.Help would be appreciated. Thanks

I try to launch my game in Meta XR Simulator and my Meta XR Simulator app won't show it.Here is a screenshot. I even have it on. Can anyone help?My Mac trying to use the Meta XR Simulator in Unity

I'm not able to find a way to open and run unknown source app after the new OS update (unknow sources are enabled on meta quest link).Could you please help?

Hi,I live in Turkey, which isn't on the MHCP supported countries list. If I register a company (LLC or Ltd) in a supported country like the US or UK and apply through that company, would I be eligible for MHCP?Or does the program require the individual creator to personally reside in a supported country, regardless of company structure? Thanks!

## Description of BugThis looks like the same underlying bug class as #3571, but on live Android launch/injection instead of when opening a capture.I have a Vulkan + OpenXR Android app running on Meta Quest 3. The app works normally on-device without RenderDoc. The crash happened only when I launched the app through RenderDoc Meta Fork using the Quest replay context and `Launch Application`.The app uses app-owned transient MSAA color/depth attachments for the scene pass. On the normal non-RenderDoc path, the app can create those images with a lazily allocated memory type on the same headset and driver. When the same APK was launched through RenderDoc Meta Fork, the app reached first-frame render setup and then failed while creating the transient MSAA color image. I added app-side Vulkan logging around `vkGetImageMemoryRequirements` and the memory-type selection path, and the injected run showed that the image’s allowed memory types were changed so that the lazily allocated type was no l

To: Any Available VR/AR Developer, My name is Kyle, and I’m an ARFF firefighter interested in learning AR/VR development to help create better, more realistic training tools for the fire service. Since few firefighters develop—and few developers have been on a nozzle—I think I can bring a useful perspective.I’m reaching out to this Meta forum because this is exactly the kind of place I think I could get good advice. I’d appreciate any advice on:Where to start learning,Which skills matter most,What can I skip early on,and your view of the current AR/VR firefighting training market.  Thanks for your time,Kyle

Hi everyone, We are building a large LBE (Location-Based Entertainment) multiplayer experience on Quest 3 using Unity and Photon Fusion 2. Our play area is around 7.5 × 10 meters. We want to establish a stable, shared world origin across multiple headsets.I’m trying to understand the most reliable method for this and would appreciate clarification on the following: 1. Shared Spatial Anchors Are Shared Spatial Anchors considered the recommended solution for large LBE environments? Is there a clear, up-to-date development workflow or sample project for implementing SSA on Quest 3? 2. QR Codes / Visual Markers Is it technically viable to use QR codes (or similar visual markers) for 100% reliable positional calibration in a 7–10 m play space?Do these marker-based methods maintain accuracy over time for multiplayer alignment? 3. Third-Party Solutions Are there any third-party services or SDKs commonly used in VR arcades or arena-scale setups that provi

Hello, I am building a Unity Project with Meta All-In-One SDK and I'm using the Networked Avatar Building Block on top of Matchmaking and Hand Tracking and Passthrough to create an experience where users can see other avatars with their hand movements with Passthrough in the real world , this creates an effect where you can see people walking around, talking and interacting with things in a room that they are not physically in with passthrough. My issue with this is the fact that the player (host) can see other players' Avatar and other players can see the host's avatar but when the host themselves also look down they also see their own avatar arms connected to their hands and body. I do not really want thisIs there way for the player to just see their normal hand prefabs/meshes from their perspective while other connected players see the full avatar and vice versa?

Hello, I am following this doc. and I also check Unity StarterSample that shows example to setup 180/360 video playback. But before going to video, I wanted to try this with an Image. So I added this setup:and now this is the RawImage with my custom shader:now coding part: RawImage rawImage = GameObject.Find("ImagePlayer").gameObject.GetComponent<RawImage>(); OVROverlay overlay = GameObject.Find("ImagePlayer").gameObject.GetComponent<OVROverlay>(); // OVROverlay won't check if the texture changed, so disable to clear old texture overlay.enabled = false; overlay.textures[0] = texture2d; //assigned from inspector window overlay.enabled = true; Material mat = new Material(rawImage.material); rawImage.material = mat; rawImage.texture = overlay.textures[0]; //I guess here the texture is already processed through ovroverlay ??is this the correct way to setup ovroverlay to process images? I tried with underlay and overlay as well but the visual difference is not too diffe

Hi there!First, thanks in advance to anyone who could help.I'm developing an app with Unity for the Meta Quest 3 and, while running the app,  I will write some data that I will need to access later, when connecting the headset back to the PC.The problem is that I haven't found on the Developers Hub any folder or anything related. Is there a way to access the data?

Hello, I have a virtual reality arcade and we use a free roam game where players can move completely freely in a 300-square-meter space. The game system allows 10 players to be in the same place, but we use Meta Quest 2 headsets and Spatial Anchors for tracking and map building. However, we sometimes encounter issues such as drift or a player losing tracking and ending up in a different location. Even though we fill the room with pictures, posters, and good lighting, these problems still persist. I believe the issue is with the technology itself. Does anyone have an explanation or suggestion for this problem? Is the issue with the Spatial Anchors system itself? For reference, we can control the game since I am the developer.

Hello Meta Community Team, I’m a passionate Meta Quest user from Saudi Arabia, and I love the VR experiences your products provide. However, I noticed that Saudi Arabia is not officially supported for some features and services. The gaming and tech community here is growing rapidly, with many enthusiastic users eager to fully enjoy the Meta Quest ecosystem. Supporting Saudi Arabia officially would open a huge opportunity for both users and Meta to expand in this region. I hope the Meta team can consider adding Saudi Arabia to the list of officially supported countries in the near future. Your products are amazing, and we would love to experience them fully without limitations. Thank you for your time and for considering this request. Best regards,Thamer

This bug only appears in device build and on certain camera angles. Sometimes when the player looks up or when the controllers are out of the camera frame. I have used the default VR Controller from UnityXR Toolkit and this glitch doesnt show. I am currently using the prefab controller for pose detection scene and added the locomotion prefab to add movements. I am using URP for my project. What I've tried:- Removed the tunneling vignette object from the controller because maybe its conflicting with the rendering- Adjusted near and far clippings of left, center, and right cameras- Played with XR settings Single Pass Instanced / MultiviewUnity Version: 6000.3.3f1
