Advance Replacement Approved on June 22, Never Shipped, Now Meta Is Threatening to Charge Me

I’m hoping someone from Meta or the community can help because I’ve been stuck in a loop with support.

My left Meta Quest Touch Plus controller was approved for an advance replacement with an estimated delivery date of June 22, 2026.

Unfortunately, the replacement has never shipped. The order has remained in Processing ever since.

Despite that, Meta has been sending me automated emails saying my return is overdue and that I’ll be charged if I don’t return my original controller.

I can’t return the original controller because I never received the advance replacement.

Every time I contact support, I’m told the case is “under review” or “high priority,” but no one can explain:

  • Why the replacement hasn’t shipped.
  • When it will ship.
  • Why I’m receiving return reminders for a replacement I never received.

I’ve now requested escalation to a manager.

Has anyone else experienced this?

  • How was it resolved?
  • How long did it take?
  • Did Meta eventually ship the replacement?

I’ve attached a redacted screenshot showing the order is still in Processing while I continue to receive return reminders.

Update (July 19): I have now received additional responses from Meta Support stating that my case is still “under review,” but I still have no information about shipment, inventory allocation, or a resolution date. I remain concerned because I continue receiving return reminders for an advance replacement that has never been shipped.

    Hi krishcharmander 🙂

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Unfortunately, here in the forum is nobody who can escalate your case, just users... you have to deal with support.

Have a look at the threads I gave you. You might find some tips - and some fun😂.

Don't give up, be persistent, mail them each day.

    Good luck 🤞

Update – 10 Weeks and Still No Replacement

It has now been approximately 10 weeks since my advance replacement was approved, and unfortunately, this remains unresolved.

I have continued following up with Meta Support consistently. Meta continues to tell me that the replacement controller is out of stock, but after 10 weeks I still have no replacement controller, no confirmed shipping date, no estimated restock timeframe, and no alternative resolution.

Support continues to respond with apologies, escalation statements, and confirmation that there is no stock, but none of these responses provide a concrete path toward actually resolving the issue.

I understand that inventory shortages can happen. However, 10 weeks without inventory, a reliable timeframe, or an alternative solution for an already-approved advance replacement is extremely frustrating.

At this point, I am continuing to follow up and document the situation here. I will update this thread if Meta provides an actual resolution or the replacement finally ships.

File a complaint at BBB or whatever agency is responsible in your country.

Meta might offer to buy a new controller and give a refund afterwards.

Just worked for the user in the link below a few days ago.
