Meta Quest 3s broken headstrap pin

Hello,

Last year my son got a quest 3s for Christmas and it has been his prized possession ever since. He is always so careful with is so I was shocked when he came to me upset the the headstrap had broken. When I looked it's the plastic bar or pin that the strap loops onto on the face mask. Is this something that is fixable or can a replacement be purchased somewhere? He is absolutely hearbroken because he seems to think it's not fixable and he won't be able to play it anymore. Can someone please point me in the right direction? This mom is desperately trying to calm this boy πŸ€¦β€β™€οΈ

Thank you all so much

Hello there, thank you for posting on our Forums.

We know how stressful it can be to have an upset child, not able to play their favourite device. Currently, there is no way to purchase a replacement pin for the head strap, but we would recommend contacting us privately, so we can take a further look into this issue for you and get you the best support possible. • Hi MoFam.1981 πŸ™‚

There are very comfortable headstraps from third party sellers.

I have one from Bobovr which works perfectly without using the little bar.πŸ˜‰

Just google for Quest 3s head straps.

  • Let me give you a faster solution MoFam.1981 I had this happen. Unfortunately that bar is structurally very weak and prone to breaking. Here are two options. When it happened to me, I anchored the strap between the faceplate and the device. Pop off the the faceplate and put the end of the strap between the device and the face plate and push them together. But....that is only temporary. The best solution is to buy a Halo style headstrap that does away with the need for the anchor bar, and honestly is far more comfortable. You can get them quite cheaply too. I've been using mine and it really improves the experience.

  • MoFam.1981 Here is what I am talking about. The headstrap anchors to the arms and what makes it even better is it takes the weight off the face and puts no stress on the headset arms as all movement is made on the headstrap itself😁 Sorry, the pic is upside down. Just turn it around to see. πŸ˜‚
