Quest 2 error GraphQL error 1675012

I was gifted a Quest 2 and did a factory reset once I was ready to start my setup. And I open my meta app and start adding the device. It gets to the end of finding it and pairing, telling me to put on the headset set, but then I get the error that the 1675012 device ID must be specified explicitly. I have reset so far 3 times and get the same result. I can see the headset in my profile, but I cannot access it to move forward.

    Hey there KingLothos!

We hear that you're having problems with setting up your newly gifted Quest 2 and we know how that's of course not the best start into the Metaverse. We would love to take a look into this problem for you and get your virtual adventures started as soon as possible.

Now, as we can see you have already attempted a few factory resets which did not seem to solve the problem that you're facing, so to get this problem solved, we would like to suggest a few different troubleshooting steps, which should solve this issue, but if not, then it will still help us understand the issue better and lets us find a solution for you.

The first step would be making sure that your Meta Horizon app as well as your Quest 2 are both on the most recent update, as this is a key point in making sure the software matches each other without any problems:

    •  The latest version of the mobile app can be found downloaded from:
    • You can compare your headsets software with our release notes to check which version is currently operating your headset, and if you need help updating your headset, then you can click here.

Next up, if both of your devices are up to date, then the internet connection might be the cause of this problem, as a smooth connection is very important while pairing your Quest 2, so to make sure that the connection is as smooth as it can be, please have both of your devices connected to the same network, on the same frequency.

We also want to mention that if you have any unsupported third-party accessories attached (such as headset covers, etc), then it would be good to remove them, as they might cause issues with the connection between your headset and your phone.

If the issues continue even after these steps, then we would like to invite you to contact us privately, so that we can take a closer look and help you get this fixed.

You can reach us privately by selecting our name to get to our profile page, or click here: https://metaque.st/CommunitySupport. Next, click "Send a Message" to privately message us! Please remember, you must be signed into the community first to send us a private message.

We hope this has helped and look forward to seeing you start your travels in the Metaverse!

  • My problem with Oculus MetaQuest is that the app recognizes it, but it stops at the security settings.

Simply I solved this 4 months ago shortly after I posted the question. The solution was to repair the controllers to the headset it seemed to solve the issue.

  • My Meta Quest 3 is stuck in a device registration loop after a factory reset.

The Meta Quest app shows a device with a new device ID, but the Meta website shows no device at all.
Because of this, I cannot link my account and I keep getting the following error:

    Error 1675012
    Operation: OCDeviceProfilesManagerSurfaceQuery
Message: Device ID must be specified explicitly

I need my device IDs manually cleared and re-registered.
This cannot be resolved on my side.

I believe I am having the same issue.

I have been trying to pair my Quest 2 headset. I have done a factory reset, re-installed the meta app, rebooted both devices, etc...  Always, I get stuck entering the code, then it just sits there and eventually says it failed.

https://auth.meta.com/settings/my/devices/ shows no devices, but both the mobile app and the desktop app show a Quest 2.

When I attempt to enter the profiles tab on the existing Quest 2 shown in the app, I get the same GraphQL error:

      VoidofVortexx wrote:

So it appears my device is out of sync and needs to be removed from the meta horizons app, but I have no apparent way to do that from my side.

Full story, several months ago, I thought I had lost the headset (or that my ex had taken it), so I removed it from the devices page. Today, I found it in my storage unit. As soon as I turned it on, it reset itself. So now I am just trying to reconnect to it.

What can we do to resolve this issue?

        Hi Gasper1971 🙂

Try deleting it manually from the desktop app..... go to devices -  tab on the Quest -  on the page that opens, scroll down and click "delete device".

For the mobile app(after deleting it from the pc app) - try if clearing the app cache in your phone settings or uninstalling/reinstalling of the app helps.

If nothing works, reach out to support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE

  • hoping to get some support here too!

I purchased a second-hand Oculus - which, according to ChatGPT, is now called the Meta Quest?

It's stuck in a cycle and not moving forward to allow me to use it. I downloaded Meta Horizon and connected the headset to my account. In the headset, it says " update 1 of 2 complete, continue in the meta quest app"

However, the app doesn't appear to advance it. If I tap my device in the app, there's an option to tap "continue setup," but when I do, it repeats the pairing process and nothing changes or updates.

i tried to use your support site to fix the problem myself but when it asks for my serial number, i put it in but it says device not recognised

      Hi mrbodybuilder 🙂

I guess you have the Oculus Quest 1, not the Quest 2.

The set up of the Q1 doesn't work with the recent version of the Meta Horizon phone(Android) app.

The easiest way to set it up is using an Iphone, if have one or if you can borrow one just for the set up.

For Android you'll need an older version of the app.... the solution in the following link describes what you must do and includes a link to an older version.

Meta support doesnt't recognize my Oculus Quest (1st gen) serial number so I cannot get help. | Meta Community Forums - 1274215

The app will probably tell you to update.... you must skip that.

Unfortunately, on some phones the skip button isn't visible and can't be used. 🙁

If thats the case, use a tablet for the set up.

A friend recently set up a Quest 1  with an Android tablet using version 257.0.0.16.106 The next/continue buttons here were also almost hidden at bottom of the page, but he was able to use them.

In case you still need to contact support..... you can do that via email, chat or WhatsApp go HERE

      Good luck🤞
