Question

Add optional "IGNORE" feature to the forums.

There's a lot of noise
on these forums and it has caused my right index finger to grow unnaturally
large and muscular from all the exercise it gets scrolling past posts with
questionable value in otherwise interesting threads, usually attributable to
the same individuals.  It's like an itch that won't quit.  Therefore, I think it would be nice to have an "IGNORE"
feature available tied to user accounts.

You forgot Lzoltowski and DaftnDirect  in your Zenbane list of preferred posters?

Prepare to be MEGA ignored man.
lol - I was leaving the Mod's off the list since they can't be added to the Ignore list anyway. But then I realized I included kojack. I forget he's a Mod cause he's so down-to-earth when he posts.

Also, ssshhh, no one tell Atmos that I can still read his posts clear as day. The dude thinks the Ignore button is working :o

I'm curious to see how some of the mechanics play out. If @Zenbane had tagged @Atmos73 in his post above, would he get a notification of being mentioned by an ignored user? I have to think that curiosity would get the better of most posters, and they would read the ignored post anyway, just to see what was said about them.

In my experience that is 100% correct. I have literally had someone on another forum (years ago) who hated me... remove me from his Ignore list because he hated trying to follow conversations. I remember him saying something like, "I hate everything about you, but nobody else is adding you to their Ignore list which makes following these conversations ridiculous."

He was tired of having to click that extra button to reveal my posts in order to understand wtf was being said. And I would often add a line or two about that person in some posts, just to help fuel their curiosity.

    True story.

Well that calls into question who the ignore feature is aimed at then. To shield Zenbane and Atmos73 from each other (although it's obvious they won't be able to resist clicking the header to reveal each others hidden posts - that's even if they've used the ignore feature at all) or to protect everyone else from their non-stop ramblings?

    @zenbane re: my passion.

I think some people didn't like all the reviews threads I made last year as it clogged up the games and apps forum. A few people made public comments about this. Well sadly the ignore feature doesn't help with that either as my posts will still be visible.

Your review threads are hawt. Sometimes I use them instead of VR Porn, when I'm needing that extra linguistic kick to get me there, na' mean?

I think it's a personal attack on non touch users. No thought or consideration given to poor people who put their kids first at Xmas time. All I got was a pair of damn socks and some smelly stuff  :|
