What Global Enterprise do you believe has better Customer Support than Apple?

SVS

I only have occasional evidence. But, in Europe:
- Apple or Apple stores sometimes become difficult if the hardware is broken in its second year of warranty.
- When something is broken, procedure is exactly the same as with any other brand: it gets send it and gets repaired by the same subcontractors as any brand uses and then it gets returned after 3 weeks. There's really nothing special about their service.

I bought a 650EUR SVS subwoofer almost 5 years ago. It's not more expensive for the same performrance like Apple is. After 5 years we noticed it produced almost no sound anymore. Talked with SVS on chat, they made me screw it open and do some testing on the main electrical board. They decided the main board was broken, I had to contact my local supplier to get a new one. So that's what I did. I had to send in the broken piece (I paid for that) and they returned me a working one free of charge.

That is the best customer service I ever had, no discussion, no wait times, never had to leave my house (the subwoofer weighs 30kg/66lbs, so not having to move the whole thing is great).

Most of the best DJ's come from the Netherlands(my country) and the majority uses windows based laptops.
Windows in truth is just as stable as any other.

I've owned Windows since... Windows 3.1, and it is definitely not as Stable as either a Linux or Apple machine I've owned. I use Windows for gaming and of course, I use Windows for the development work that earns me a living. But no way does the stability of Windows compare to that of other truly stable OS's.

As for the DJ's, some of the wealthiest DJ's in history do use a Mac, like Paul Van Dyk:

Well, you and I have to agree to disagree then.

haha no, I'm sure he is. I don't listen to that type of music though so I don't really care about DJ's.

BTW the reason why most DJ's used Apple when laptop DJ'ing became a thing is because if you got an Apple you _knew_ what you were getting. It is a low effort choice where you know what you will get. One important thing is that soundchips were well integrated and well shielded in Apple computers, that is why they also became a top choice for DJ's.  Because there were DJ's that bought Windows computers and they had crap soundchips. It's not about Windows that is bad, it's those hardware designers that just skimp on this. But, there were just as well laptops with better sound and better drivers for less money, then Apple.

If you go the Windows way, there's so much hardware including a lot of crap (and a lot of stuff better and less expensive then Apple and also a lot of stuff more expensive and worse then Apple). People then attribute all the bad shit to Windows while it's the crappy hardware and crapware that OEM's put on it.

In my opinion if you know what you need, you know how to do research, you will find a faster and better laptop then any macbook for less money. It will work just as good, and both OS are speedy and stable (OSX and W10).

My favorite DJ is Paul Oakenfold.

But I don't think I've ever seen him using a PC on stage. He's more of a Turntables and Mixers kinda guy:

I'm also a big fan of DeadMau5. And he is a Mac User:

And check out this famous studio...

They've worked with HBO on Game of Thrones, and artists like Lady Gaga,

Notice the center MacBook on display?

Their main Studio in Spain runs a, Mac Pro 3ghz 8 core

@Thmoas
Windows 10 is definately at the same level as OSX.

And sure Van Dyk might be using Apple. Good for him, proves nothing.

You saying that Windows 10 is definitely on the same level as OSX proves nothing either.

I only brought up Van Dyk because we were talking about DJ's and their OS choice. Nothing proves anything, it's just a conversation.

Although Apple's 1 trillion dollars likely proves "something" lol

Anyway,
If we look at the history on this forum, people have been really upset about Microsoft "forcing" upgrades from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I'm a fan of Windows 7, and I still have that OS on one laptop. Windows 7 reminds me of Windows XP in terms of stability and performance. Both 7 and XP were great; so I get why Win 7 users are upset about upgrading to Win 10. And since I have used Windows 10 for 2 years now, I can definitely say that it is less stable than Windows 7, and most certainly less stable than the last few generations of OSX.

It's probably safe to say that the multi-million dollar earning DJ's that use Macbook's, are doing so for their own reasons.

As an ex 7 user I can definitely say 10 once you get rid of the bloat is bullet proof. Way better lol And I get pissed off with Apple as I bought a mint iPad 3 a few months ago but no IOS updates anymore, this forced me to get a newer model. All companies are sneaky buggers.
