Oh crap. Considering i stopped the video at 17 seconds i doubt i'll be able to play these games.
I love horror films on a TV but in VR when you just know that turning your head a little bit is going to reveal something (usually a frigging girl) - nope, can't take it!
Yeah, I suppose if you’re already afraid of the dark, this app is not for you...
and here is an actual game made by a company, it maps your house and turns it into a haunted house
This came out BEFORE ARKIT, which is far more advanced.
All this stuff looks like vaporware. Where is the real downloadable stuff today?
Um ... where you'd download apps? https://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/night-terrors-the-beginning/id1112350146?mt=8
Core i7-7700k @ 4.9 Ghz | 32 GB DDR4 Corsair Vengeance @ 3000Mhz | 2x 1TB Samsung Evo | 2x 4GB WD Black ASUS MAXIMUS IX HERO | MSI AERO GTX 1080 OC @ 2000Mhz | Corsair Carbide Series 400C White (RGB FTW!) Be kind to one another :)
Bear in mind the scary game was made before the advanced ARkit was out, so it has some limitations.

Okay, i’ll Download it tonight and give you a full report.
First you denied it was real, and you were wrong. Then you denied that it could be downloaded, and you were wrong again. So now you want to give a full report? lol - I'm pretty sure we can all guess that you're going to hate it. Assuming you actually download it and legitimately try it.
Upload a video of yourself trying it out as part of your full report, otherwise your effort is clearly a hoax. ;)
If all these AR apps are used in the home or office, it seems there is a limit to what you can do with them. After all, there is a limited number of ways that scares can be introduced into the home setting. The advantage of VR is that it can transport you literally anywhere...to medieval Europe, to a haunted castle, or to a futuristic space colony.

That's pretty much what some people say about the Rift lol
The FOV probably sucks because it's glasses as opposed to a face helmet, but the overall tech is solid based on the feedback I've received from developers whom I trust personally. I keep meaning to try it but I get busy.

The tech is pretty amazing, however, the FOV is tiny, it's like looking at a small screen a few feet away. I tried it at one of my client's offices. If they could make the FOV at 110 degrees, it would be crazy impressive.

Well yes, but the discussion was never about AR vs VR. The two don't have to compete at all.
