Yeah like others have said, just buy a fan if you get hot. But I've not noticed my Rift getting warm, never had any issues with fogging up.
OMG, the heat is inside the headset between your face and the lens area and around the seals.. a fan wont do anything.. its a mostly sealed space.
Totally disagree mate, I use a fan and it cools me down, including my face, and I'd hardly call it a sealed area, there's a gap where your nose is.
I also use an office fan behind me and not only does it keep me cool, but it also prevents a lot of the fogging in the lenses. I would also suggest buying a cover from VR cover because that helps too. Without the fan sat behind me, I feel like I'm in a sauna. Either take the advice or don't that's up to you. People here are only given you good advice and trying to help. If you do get a fan though, just make sure you get one with a grill guard on the front or you could end up with hot ass if you back into it.
See me when I play with my Oculus. If you watch carefully you'll see I wear my Rift... No heat problem at all...
Joke apart, Fog can be avoided by preheating the headset triggering the presence captor with E.g. a cloth, 5 minutes before playing. Not my trick, somebody around here already say this and I just remembered this (to try to put some serious note after such picture). BTW I never tried myself ( the snow and the cloth to preheat) but it sound logical...
Edit : and the feet of this guy let me think it's actually a frog ;)
