I finally broke down and ordered some new Valve Index controllers today from the US.  Was not cheap, ~aud$750.

So now Valve will probably finally start shipping to Australia, lol!  I'm hoping that these controllers will work great with my Vive Pro and that I'll then be more likely to use it rather than rely on my Rift cv1 for most of my PCVR gaming.  My Vive Pro (with etsy gear vr lens mod btw) is already my goto PCVR headset for all flight/racing sims.  I'll let you all know how this works out.

Knuckles almost perfectly emulate both Touch and Wands, I doubt you'll be disappointed. You might need a "starter pack" to get properly introduced - may I suggest  o:)

- and of course Alyx.

These lists are great too:

Thanks Rune,  Looking forward to these Index controllers.  My Vive Pro oled headset deservers a better set of controllers!  I kept waiting for Valve to start to deliver down under but it never happened.

My Vive Pro has been a godsend for all my flight/racing sims for quite some time and in many cases it beats the pants off my cv1 with 2x SS.  Just the Vive controllers have let it down.  Imagine your Index headset with oled screens.  Now that would be perfect imho.

The question is when is the Index 2 coming out :)

You don't need that, and I'm convinced Valve thinks so too - right now there are only 3 games that truly support the Index in all its glory - Alyx, Boneworks and - maybe - Room VR. Maybe BluePlanet VR too - but that's not a game. Using 120/144 Hz Index is perfect for RTX 3080 and 3090 - more res and you easily may need something better than RTX 3090.

We do not need more hmds - we need content with ultramersion texture quality! 2c.

Well even without resolution I think there is a lot you can upgrade on the headset with lenses, fix glare, clarity, better colour panels, OLED screen or better blacks. More of a refresh.

I'd agree with the oled ;) I don't notice the glare - but I'm using anti-glare glasses that might help quite a lot (also for the CV1). Clarity and colors are really awesome using the Index, colors often pop more than CV1 - but Index does have its own power supply like the G2.

Again Alyx looks like a dream come true, like I've got several miles of clear view distance - just need more of such content!

Have been using Motion Smoothing the last month in all my Steam games - and Revive games - with great success. Seems like Valve has done a really awesome job - now really feels like true ASW 2.0 with the Index. Some time ago motion smoothing was slightly hit and miss, but right now most games play significantly worse with motion smoothing deactivated.
Like playing Tarzan VR last evening, it worked so much better with motion smoothing than without, but I'm doing my very best to push the visuals, lol.

I am actually finding Motion Smoothing in my Reverb G2 to be a little better than Oculus ASW.
Not seeing the artifacts in flight sims when reprojection kicked in like I was seeing with Oculus.

I think you have a nice combo there now with an OLED headset and index controllers.

Really had a blast (pun intended) with this Revived game this evening:

https://youtu.be/Abq-eTxespQ

Not exactly sure why, maybe due to the square screen, but it really felt like having full vision - like 180 degrees FOV, lol. Wolfenstein Cyberpilot also was great at showing off FOV, but Galak-Z might be the new FOV master ;)

Performance was great using Index res 150 %, medium settings (look like high settings, I don't notice any difference) and motion smoothing enabled.

I'm in such a good mood I've changed my rating of the game in the Oculus Store from 3 to 5 stars  o:) (5/5 is for the Index, I'm still at 3/5 for CV1).

No many cares on the Index Reddit though...

@RuneSR2  What version of Revive do you recommend right now?  I'm aching to give it another go with my Vive Pro when I get my new Index controllers (hopefully next week) and get them properly sorted out with SteamVR to start off with.  Thanks mate.

I'm still on 1.9.2 - Tried 2.0, but got a severe error causing my rig not to boot - had to remove all hmds to wake up my monitor. I've been reluctant to go beyond 1.9.2 for now - and so far it's been working great, haven't felt a need to try to upgrade again.
