@RuneSR2  What version of Revive do you recommend right now?  I'm aching to give it another go with my Vive Pro when I get my new Index controllers (hopefully next week) and get them properly sorted out with SteamVR to start off with.  Thanks mate.

I'm still on 1.9.2 - Tried 2.0, but got a severe error causing my rig not to boot - had to remove all hmds to wake up my monitor. I've been reluctant to go beyond 1.9.2 for now - and so far it's been working great, haven't felt a need to try to upgrade again.

Whoa that is a little extreme and troublesome, not sure I want to try Revive out now if it gets that much into the weeds to cause instability in a system booting up. I am rather fond of my well tuned machine.

Yup, system not booting did get me sweating, lol - a black screen could be like anything failing from cpu, ram, gpu, mainboard etc. It was kinda plain luck I just tried pulling out both hmds and then got the rig to post. Couldn't even see the bios before - just a black screen.

Revive 2.0 does contain some large improvements, like being able to see all your Oculus apps, and not just those on your default location. I have 4 locations and was wondering if I got too many apps for Revive to scan, lol.

Most seem to have no problems with Revive 2.0+, and Revive has been further improved in the meantime, latest version is 2.1.1. Or just go for 1.9.2 at least I never had problems with that one.

https://github.com/LibreVR/Revive/releases

Revive does not go through a comprehensive QA check like new updates from Microsoft, Valve and Oculus - I think it's just one dude making Revive, and of course the software may be more prone to errors. The reward is getting access to all your Oculus apps using the G2, and that might be more than worth the risk...

It does go through  some testing before going to a release version. As I mentioned with the nightly builds are similar to a public test build. You can get that here if you're interested. Latest one is 19 days old and I've been using it a few days with no probs. https://ci.appveyor.com/project/librevr/revive/build/artifacts

Had some fun in Fujii last night - found out it's one of the few games I can run in Index res 200% in 144 Hz.

Really felt life-like - like the world really started living and breathing. After 20 minutes in 144 Hz, it was hard getting back to jerky 90 Hz, lol.

The game has full finger-tracking too - a small gem!  ;)

I tried Luckys tale last night on the index at 144hz and 200 percent. Ran like a dream.

Not so much luck with bone works but I did get 120hz running OK at 150 I think.

I tried affected the Manor but had to give up, god the blacks make it unplayable.

Whoa, have completely forgotten about Lucky's Tale res 200% 144 Hz - that would sound like a dream come true <3

I've got Boneworks running in res 200% + 2xMSAA, but 90 Hz - res 150% 120 Hz could indeed by interesting! Funny that a lot of persons seem to think they need much gpu power to run Boneworks, while the complete opposite is my experience - or could be due to running native Valve/Steam drivers, I have not tested the CV1 in that game.

Affected the Manor is the reason I still got CV1 connected  B) In fact I usually can have both CV1 and Index connected and fully activated - Index takes charge whenever SteamVR is starting. And I only use Oculus Home for CV1.

Btw, tried Paranormal Activity: The Lost Soul (Revive) last night - that game had really impressive blacks and nice textures, even at res 100 % But I'm only in the start of the game, had to spend time tying my shoelace ... for like ... 30 minutes  o:)

Occasionally there can be glitches having both CV1 and Index connected and fully active, but it's enough just to remove the CV1 usb connection. I never need to deactivate the Index - the Oculus software never sees the Index, lol.

Well, Lucky's Tales res 200% 144 Hz is set for tonight! Coming from CV1, the fov really makes a great difference too - but games I can run with great fov + res 200% + 144 Hz/fps are few, lol

Yup, got that too - but there are some lucky finds here'n there - like Lucky Tales, some bright games work perfectly even if not made for lcd! Kin is awesome using Index res 200% too - due to the big fov:

Pretty sure Project Wingman VR mainly was made for oled, I've developed a Spidey-like sense that immediately tingles when it senses surfaces that don't look right using lcd hmds - and it tingled in Project Wingman  B)

Another game looking really weird was Profundum - some background surfaces seemed lit in a way that made them look like more placed in the foreground - just to exemplify how important it is that devs add surfaces and lighting to properly support lcd hmds. Some oled games simply do not work using lcd!

Might look awesome using CV1 though - but the idio* *cough!* nice devs didn't support native CV1 drivers - at least not back then.

Btw, Pistol Whip 2089 is pretty awesome due to the fov and no noticeable SDE - but can't use 144 Hz and res 200% with a GTX 1080 - might try for 120 Hz and res 200% tonight too:

Btw - I'm Reviving the game - works better with the Index than using native Oculus drivers, lol - but CV1 clearly has the best bass!

FOV is good especially the vertical FOV, I cannot actually see the top or bottom (maybe slight bit at bottom).

If they can push out the horizontal FOV a bit more next time as well that would be great.

With the CV1 there was this binocular kind of view. I would describe the index as a wider oval feel as you can see the left and right curves.

Excuse the crude quick drawing, Cv1 left, Index right

Try Wolfie Cyberpilot - it's a horrible game, and not sure why, but the fov just looked awesome - same with this game - one of the biggest fov experiences I've had - you need Revive for Galak-Z:

Funny even with the Cv1 I found some games I didn't notice the FOV, Lone Echo was one. You may find Lucky is like that also.
