Here's mine...

I'm a huge fan of The Metal but I think I'll start with some of my legendary, less angry, favorites.

Probably my favorite band of all time across all genres is Primus. I've seen them live twice, and I've seen Les Claypool live in his solo act once.

It all started with "Jerry was a Race car driver"

For those who don't know Les, fun fact: he once audition for Metallica and they denied him based solely on the fact that he is far too damn good for them.

I've seen tons of bands live (Slayer, Megadeth, Sepultura, Napalm Death, Cannibal Corpse, Korn, System of a Down, Pantera, Slipknot, Lamb of God - to name a few). But Primus is the band that showed me first hand the largest mosh pit I've ever seen, and it was to this mighty cute song:

A few thousand people went ape shit at the 1:37 mark.

I hold in high regard just about everything Claypool releases; if I had to pick a favorite song it is simply, Here Come The Bastards

@SimonSays28 - I just saw Ozzyman review that video on Twitch. Nice!

I saw it a few days ago - and it has stuck with me so that I've watched it a few times. Really good production - heavy message. I am not normally a fan of the instruments used in a song like this (the over compressed bass that rides over everything or the really cheap sounding sampled drum), but it all just works on this one. Really cool rhythmic stereo mixing through out - so far it is my favourite new song this year.

The video is amazing too - lots of hidden messages throughout, reminds me of Peter Gabriel's weirder music videos from the 80s filtered through a more modern lens. I have shown it to a few people too - it is definitely impacting and doesn't feel like 4 minutes.

I'm a lifelong musician and a multimedia artist from the beginning of time - I worked on the first CD-ROM and built the first interactive music site on the web in 1993. I have three different projects going at the moment, all of which I anticipate will be using VR as a creative platform in the future. I play drums for John Ashton, formerly of The Psychedelic Furs. The group is called Satellite Paradiso. There's 20 different musicians on the album, including Gail Ann Dorsey (David Bowie, Lenny Kravitz); drummer Paul Ferguson (Killing Joke); guitarist Cheetah Chrome (Dead Boys, Rocket From the Tombs); Mercury Rev's Anthony Molina and Jonathan Donahue; lead singer Fred Schreck (The Ancients, Crush); Flo & Eddie’s Mark Volman (The Turtles, Frank Zappa, T.Rex); and assorted Furs alumni Duncan Kilburn and Mars Williams (sax), Roger Morris (guitar, keys), Paul Garisto and Don Yallech (drums) and Amanda Kramer (piano, keys) -- yup, and me. ;) I think you'll like this.

Was reminded of this in the car today - Ian Hunter plays one of my fave 70's rock tunes:

This is still one of my favourite songs from the last few years - the whole album is exciting, but this song in particular with that rolling bass line is just so good.

Can't believe I didn't discover this great tune until the early 90's

I kept trying to persuade the house DJ at Joe Am Ku'Damm to play it - but he steadfastly refused....

Okay, for some reason today I couldn't get this tune out of my head - not heard it in years, yet for some reason I was sat there playing Yahtzee with Mrs Brix, singing this and swinging about in my chair...
