'Continue in Your Browser' - App login

I am trying to log in to the Oculus App on my PC, I have plugged in my headset, I clicked  'Continue with Facebook', then the next screen tells me to:
 'Continue in Your Browser.  To confirm your Facebook login, please switch to your default web browser now.  The confirmation process may take a few seconds to complete'.
I have opened every web browser on my computer, logged into my facebook account on each browser, turned firewalls off, and nothing happens / no confirmation occurs.  And the 'Help Centre' button at the bottom of the screen doesn't link to anything either.

Any idea what I should try next?

    For anyone still having this issue;

    Press Win+R, then type/paste the following: https://www.google.com

    Then press Enter, this will/should pop-up asking you to set a default browser. Select which one you want [Chrome, Edge, Opera, ETC].

    Once done, restart the oculus app and it should work a treat.

    Still don't know why this hasn't been fixed tbh, I was pulling my hair out going from forum to forum looking for a Solution also...

    This problem still exists. I use a VPN and Chrome intogo mode, it does not work at all. GOSH this is frustrating

As mentioned previously in this thread, we would recommend trying to copy the link of the page that you are first taken to when you click "Continue with Facebook" and then try pasting it into the address bar in an incognito window.       Same issue. No browsers working for it. I have a new Pc I need to test now.

      Here I am, 3 years on, oculus app still hasnt been fixed, having this same issue. Quest and Quest 2 are officially abandonware.
      This is a great example of why you dont purchase hardware you cant own.

        LOL,  actually what I bought is a second-hand device. Despite this problem, I cannot either find any file in the file manager app in Quest2, so I spent a loooooot of time figuring out why I can't find the movies I sent to Quest2 through cable.

        I have found a solution that worked for me and hopefully it would work for you too please do the following:

        pres windows key + R

        type (https://www.google.com) and press enter

        you will see a message asking you to choose a default web browser for https links and you may choose a browser and after thar you are all set to try the login from the program and it normally will open in browser and you can proceed.

          I went through so many attempts to do what others were saying and nothing worked. Thank you so much. This simple solution was all that it took.

          its not letting me sign in even though i made a new account, but its trying to revieve one from mynold one i no longer know the password too.

            if don't work cause did not work for me go to settings clicks apps then click on default apps then search for your main web browser then click it scroll up and click set up as default browser then done

            Having the same problem on macos sequoia, there is no link or address bar, no solution in the replies work.
