Error Occurred: Generate new device code

I went to play an online game a few days ago, and it kicked me out telling me to go make a meta account. i do all the steps to make on, and then it tells me to go to www.meta.com/device to put in the code it prompted me with. I put in the code, and it said an error occurred, Generate new device code. Now i tried again a few days later, after that error happening many many times, and now it says the account I'm using does not match my purchases and stuff on my oculus account, saying I'm using a different account, BUT IM NOT. i really need help because I can't play any games.

    Some users are still experiencing an issue with their device code not working, however, a lot of them have been able to resolve it by following a few steps I'll outline below:

     

    1. Make sure you are trying to set up the device with the same account you're logged into on the app (we need to make sure your device is listed on the correct account). You can check this by going here: https://secure.oculus.com/my/devices

    2. You can go to this site if you need to log out: auth.meta.com/settings

    3. Then you can log in with the correct account, or start over using a different login by factoring resetting your headset

    How is this not fixed yet?! I tried to get to the website a week ago and it was down. Still can’t get to the site or use my **bleep** Oculus.

      When starting from scratch make sure you aren’t connected to wifi when trying to login to the app…after factory resetting the oculus

      It will not let me play and it’s telling me to enter a code but when I enter the code it’s always me this account is not is not found

      Hey there!

       

      Yeah this seems to be an ongoing issue at the moment. If you're willing, I definitely recommend trying the troubleshooting steps that support as provided and then if that didn't provide anything beneficial, to try and contact support via the link mentioned previously.

       

      This might take some time but I know we got this!

      There was no need to break the software in the first place with your stupid **bleep**ing Meta verse bull**bleep** update. Maybe just don't force your garbage and things will work properly on MY VR headset that I paid for. Don't break my

          This is not a case-by-case basis at this point. Creating support tickets now is meaningless. There should be a software fix for this. Like, yesterday.

              Seriously why do oculus/Facebook/meta hate it's user. you need a new login every 6 month and u wonder why you have problem with accounts. I only want to play some games i don't want an account bounded to 32 different only services i ONLY WANT TO PLAY ON THE DEVICE I BOUGHT

                having the same issue here! I haven't used my oculus quest 2 since before this whole meta thing, and now I turn it for the first time since then I can't even use it??? every time I enter in that code is says error try again later. What hasn't this been fixed yet?

                  It is a joke same here. Billion dollar company does not know how to login somebody. I was there www.meta.com/device they try to sell me another oculus which I have, Stupid

                    Was läuft eigentlich?
                    Kann seit Tagen nicht mehr spielen.
                    Immer dieser Code der nicht funktioniert!!!
                    Muss ich jetzt echt die Quest 2 auf Werkeinstellung zurücksetzen damit das Teil wieder läuft?
                    Ich versuche das jetzt mal, ich hoffe die Spiele sind wieder alle da nach der Profilanmeldung!

                    Still doesn't work. Why do you even have so many accounts like meta / occulus / facebook then messed up everyting. Meta is **bleep**.
