My finger isn't recognized when I place it on that part
of the controller, which can be annoying for games like VRChat where I constantly make a peace sign because of this bug. I have a Meta Quest 3S and it's only the right controller that does this. I've already tried resetting it, but that didn't work. Can someone tell me how to fix it? (I'm sorry if it's a bit confusing i'm ESL)

Maybe it's not a bug..... there's a small magnet that can come loose and then cause problems like the ones you describe.

If you still have warranty, contact Meta support via email, chat or WhatsApp HERE
If not, look for a repair service.
I assume, you are not in the US, so "Fix my Oculus" is not an option..... google for vr headset repair service in your country.
If you feel confident in doing that, you can try to fix it yourself...... there are helpful videos on youtube.
