My Oculus Quest 2 keeps turning off randomly?!

Now, I will have to say a few things before any replies on solutions are made:

- The battery of the headset is 100%.
- The camera is clean and tracking is working.

- The headset itself on the outside has no damage.

- This issue has just started.

Well, to put it simply, it keeps turning off. I have to manually turn it back on and it isn’t a black screen of death situation. It could be that the power button has some dust in it but it is unlikely.

It would be great if someone has this same issue as I have searched a bit and have not seen this issue in the slightest.

Thanks for reading,

WoofWolf21.

Hey everyone! I'm jumping in here to report that I'll be locking this thread. The reason being that the original post could have a different root cause than any recent issues coming up.

If you've been running into this, I'd highly suggest checking out these steps if not already. Along with that, I do recommend creating a new thread in the Get Help boards or reaching out to MetaStoreHelp through PMs or where they'll be able to look into some other options they might have available.

I solved it by charging 100%, resetting and then still was not solved until I changed the theme to light instead of dark

Other than factory resetting it nothing but the factory reset didn't fix it either

Same for some reason I’m playing with my friend and my screen goes black and it turns on again and I can’t move and my controllers don’t work and I don’t have arms

Hey there, BananaPeel10! We understand that you're having some issues with your headset turning off and on while in use. We know that this can become frustrating and take away from the full VR experience. We're going to include some troubleshooting steps below for you to try.

  1. If the eyeglass spacer is in use: confirm it is seated correctly and not blocking the proximity sensor.
  2. Verify the facial interface is seated correctly and not blocking the proximity sensor.
    • If you're using an unsupported third-party facial interface, please remove it.
  3. Ensure nothing is getting inside the headset under the facial interface such as hair.

Once you've tried these and if you're still needing further assistance, please let us know. Thank you so much for your patience. We're looking forward to your reply.

Make sure your hair is back! As it blocks the sensor my kids had the same issue.
