oculus quest 2 not working or charging

i just got the headset today its new i opened it set it up everything was alright i left it to charge got back to it and hour later and nothing no orange light or green light won't turn on even if i pressed the button for 3 minutes 30 minutes or 60 minutes tried the main button and the turning it on and off and its been in sitting with the charging cable for almost 8 hours nothing at all

Yeah me too my vr hasn't been charging and it's been 2 days I've bought new chargers and tried other chargers at least 6 chargers and nothing is working and when I try to charge it all it does is try turning on the vr and never charges

We see you have tried multiple chargers, and to that end, if they were all 18-watt chargers, we can scratch this off our solutions list. To continue marking things off, can you answer these questions for us:

Do any lights come on when the headset is plugged in to charge?
Have you tried rebooting your headset?
Have you tried a factory reset?

No lights show up when my vr is plugged in

And when I try to factory reset/ rebooting my vr all it does is try to turn my vr on even though it's dead

I’m having the same problems with my charging dock. My controllers charge fine (pro controllers) but my headset refuses to charge. It just keeps powering off when it powers on from charging. Meta I want an explanation.

They won’t do anything but keep emailing you over and over. They ask for a bunch of crap. I gave them the headset SN and they want the receipt and all. However they won’t replace anything. I didn’t have this thing even a year

same it happened today it was charging and check on it and was on 0% (i charged it overnight) so i tried to fix it and it didn't work so i came here for help so i was thinking about rebooting my meta quest 2 but i don't know what it do so i'm thinking of getting a new charger so yea

Trying to see if there was a solve. Just open mine. Worked for about ten minutes. No power or charging indicator after 8 hours of charging with multiple cords. Did u update prior to dying with a factory resent. Now nothing.

We got an Oculus (meta) quest 2 for our kids this xmas, was purchased off a family member who'd had it, unused, in a box from March 2022, so warranty is well gone, we turned it on, linked it with my account and app, I connected it to our WiFi, it then required a software update, since then, it hasn't worked, tried rebooting it using the power button and volume down button, it brought up a meta symbol, spinning on the screen and turned off again, now it won't even do that, nor will it charge ( used various cables) is there anything that can be done with it?

there's an issue with a current update that's causing the headsets to be unresponsive. Please keep your eye on the thread below for any official updates from meta. Add your voice to the thread.

did you ever get it to work? mine is doing the same thing, and i’m thinking about sending it back. let me know what you did because it won’t turn on AT all even if i do all the button things and rebooting things.

Nothing has worked so I’ll be returning. Also meta has failed at this point to help any users.
