Quest 3 stuck in Battery Saver Mode

So I toggled the battery saver mode 3 days ago and ofc it lowered resolution. I wanted to test the feature. So I toggled it on, saw the change, and then toggled it off. When I turned it off, the resolution stayed the same, the fovetated size stayed the same. Everything was the same as if I was still on battery saver mode (with full charge on the headset).

I ignored this issue until today as I cannot deal with it anymore. I restarted the device, resolution is still low, text is pixelated, FOV is terrible, everything warped. The headset thinks I'm in battery saver mode still. Tried toggling it on and off and there is literally no change when turning it on, and of course no change when going back to off.

Please help.

I'm on v60

This seems to be a common problem.  I'm a little upset now that I can not get the best graphics out of my new quest 3.

I'm not factory reseting it either.

May loose all my hard on asgard's Wrath 2 (amazing by the way)

Meta please listen and fix the bugs ..

We want fantastic graphics.

If we didn't we would stick to Quest 2

I am experiencing the same issue. I toggled the battery saver mode "on" a while back to see what it did. I noticed the resolution and brightness go down and then I toggled battery saver mode back "off" and the resolution and brightness of the screen stayed the same. Now, toggling the battery saver mode off and on does nothing.

Hi....

It's definitely a software problem.  I really hope they fix it with the next update.  I wish I had not tried it now.

I am experiencing this issue as well. I did send a PM, but I think the community deserves a public response about how this is being handled and the timeline for resolution. It is honestly shocking that some have already been dealing with this for a full month. @MetaQuestSupport what can we expect?

I'm now realizing that some issues I've experienced may also be tied to this bug? In no particular order:

- Guardian blue line sometimes looks super blurry and aliased

- Really noodly controller tracking in PCVR (especially Beat Saber) as if the controllers are being tracked at a reduced update frequency

- Display brightness randomly resets to ~50%

Hi there, my Quest 3 also seems to be stuck in Battery Saver mode, for a second when I turn it off, it flashes brighter and seems to turn off, and then it gets stuck back on again.

If there's any way to fix this, I would like to know, as I've been wondering why things have felt so blurry for a while.

I'm also having this issue and factory reset didn't work for me. This is quite annoying. To think most people who enable this are trying to fix one problem with the headset (battery life) and it creates a whole new one. You'd think for what Meta is worth they'd have better testing and bug squashers.

I am having the same issue on my brand new device. This is incredibly frustrating and it’s making me consider returning it right away if this is the level of quality control I’m supposed to expect for a headset like this.

Still not good .

Please fix with a software update or upgrade the graphics πŸ™

**(THIS IS NOT A SOLUTION) **JUST NEED MORE INFORMATION ABOUT THIS ISSUE**MARKING FOR VISABILITY**

Hey everyone! I noticed you all are having trouble with the Quest 3 not turning off the Battery Saver Mode. I want to help get attention to this for you guys, so I will need some more information on this.

Can y'all let me of the following?

  1. What's the full version number of your headset? (60.0.0.####### or likewise)
    1. Quick Settings > System > Software Update
  2. What version is your Meta Quest app running?
  3. Is your headset enrolled in Quest PTC?
  4. Do you notice this when connecting to PC?
  5. Is it affecting PCVR games as well?
  6. Does letting the headset die completely and then charging it help?
  7. Any potential workarounds anyone may have found?
  8. Link to any other threads or post with this issue?

While this is being answered, please submit a bug report. It'll help provide important feedback on this issue.

Once I have all of those pieces of info, I'll let the internal team know.

I'm pretty sure I'm suffering with this too (no visible change when toggling low power mode, battery lasting longer, visuals not as good as I remember when I first got the headset).

Here's the details you asked for:

1. 60.0.0.214.366.553497759

2. Not sure what you mean by Meta Quest app version?

3. No

4. Haven't attempted it

5. N/A

6. No

7. No
