Quest 3 stuck in Battery Saver Mode

So I toggled the battery saver mode 3 days ago and ofc it lowered resolution. I wanted to test the feature. So I toggled it on, saw the change, and then toggled it off. When I turned it off, the resolution stayed the same, the fovetated size stayed the same. Everything was the same as if I was still on battery saver mode (with full charge on the headset).

I ignored this issue until today as I cannot deal with it anymore. I restarted the device, resolution is still low, text is pixelated, FOV is terrible, everything warped. The headset thinks I'm in battery saver mode still. Tried toggling it on and off and there is literally no change when turning it on, and of course no change when going back to off.

Please help.

I'm on v60

I'm also having the bug with battery saver mode, and in my research this seems to go back to at least mid November...all the resources and especially data that this company has and they still can't fix this? Seems like a serious management issue to me, I know the developers/engineers are extremely talented. Leadership is definitely not appearing in a positive light now that Meta is trying to bury this extremely prevelant bug in PM's instead of open forum posts for everyone to monitor. Adjust your priorities Meta management, because stuff like this is how you lose your maker dominance, even if you keep buying up exclusive rights to all the popular games and then forcing their quality down for everyone.

I am also experiencing this issue.  I'm going to mess with developer settings, and android settings through an app that gets you into the vanilla android settings.  If you install sidequest you can install lightning launcher, from the launcher you can click 'android settings' if other would like to mess about thats how you can quickly(ish) get there.   It has things like battery saver etc, maybe that setting can toggle it back on if you do it in there rather than through the quest menu system which is one layer higher than the android settings.

toggling Battery Saver in android settings did not work to fix the issue like I was hoping.  I currently have been unable to find a solution but will continue to experiment and report back.

Here are my details

1. 60.0.0.214.366.553497759

2. 245.2.2.13.199 (if you are asking version of mobile app)

3. No

4. Yes, same thing when connected with cable to PC

5. Yes, it also affects PCVR, on cable, virtual desktop, oculus link, steam link connections. I’ve tried every connection. It just default resolution and brightness of the headset are lowered, so it affects PCVR as well

6. Haven’t tried it yet

7. Tried everything, numerous factory reset attempts included, nothing helps so far.

Upd: draw charge to 0 and recharge doesn’t help

Hey there everyone! This issue has been recognized to our engineers. They are currently looking into this for the community! Keep providing the details one of our other mods have posted on this thread!

  1. What's the full version number of your headset? (60.0.0.####### or likewise)
    1. Quick Settings > System > Software Update
  2. What version is your Meta Quest app running?
  3. Is your headset enrolled in Quest PTC?
  4. Do you notice this when connecting to PC?
  5. Is it affecting PCVR games as well?
  6. Does letting the headset die completely and then charging it help?
  7. Any potential workarounds anyone may have found?
  8. Link to any other threads or post with this issue?

While this is being answered, please submit a bug report. It'll help provide important feedback on this issue.

We are all mad here.

Can we get any updates regarding this issue? This kind of bug should be number one priority to fix. We have already gave plenty of information here + bug reports. With this limitation and degreade in quality we are basically getting half what we should expect from this headset.

Yes! So the team will need an ADB bug report if someone can provide it.

This type of bug report will require command-line knowledge and familiarity with Quest Developer tools. If there is someone in this thread who has this type of knowledge and is willing to provide a report, please let me or AliceinVRworld know. Thank you!

I'm stuck in the same boat and it impacts PCVR as well as far as I can tell.  Shot both of you a PM but hoping for a resolution soon.  Really takes away from the experience honestly.
