Cast not working

Both my iphone and Quest 2 are set to the same wifi, I select cast on my quest and select my app from the menu and on my phone is says it is now casting but I see  nothing.  Anyway to fix this because it's a serious bummer that I can't play with my family with no way for them to see it

Forgot to update this, factory reset is the solution. cloud saves will keep all your game data, but anything modded will be deleted so make sure you back everything up

I actually had casting working, on my latest updated iPhone 11. We were all watching, My partner turned off the phone, and it hasn’t connected since. It says connected on the oculus quest , by opening the app. Reset the oculus, the dot remains. It died, the dot remained. restarted my phone. The casting dot on oculus remained. Over and over via oculus we turned off casting. Turned wifi off. Nothing. Next I am trying unpairing and repairing devices. Not before I check answers at the end, that I haven’t seen yet, lol

Having similar problems myself. Everytime I select the device I want to cast to, I get the message, "There was an error and streaming has stopped." It worked once the first time I tried it and has been giving me this message ever since.

Hey there, AllenM10! We know casting can be a pretty big fun thing to do when wanting to share your experience within the headset. We'd love to help out!

In order to gain some insight, could you answer the following:

    • To confirm, does the issue happen with every device attempted to cast to?
    • Have you attempted some troubleshooting steps? (So to not repeat any)
    • To confirm, all the devices attempted are connected to the network?

Once we have this information we can look into some further possibilities!

Aye, this issue persists with my computer, the Chromecast setup with my computer, and two phones.

Apart from a factory reset, I have tried all troubleshooting steps.

All devices are connected to the same 5Ghz network - though, notably, the computer is connected via ethernet. I had been told this would not make any difference, however.
