Horizon link not working

My Q3 was linking fine to my PC this afternoon, then literally an hour or two later, will not link.

I'm using a usb 3.0 cable, it is in a USB 3 port, power management of USB port is set correctly.

I get a notification saying 'Meta Quest Link isn't working correctly. Click here to check our support article'.

There is no support article.

I have restarted the headset and PC, repaired the Horizon app, logged out and back into the Horizon app, restarted the OVR service and I still can't get it to work.

Anyone else having or had similar issues recently?

Horizon software 83.0.0.333.349

Headset V83.1034 build 5156385.14650.520

Grateful for any ideas.

I'm having the exact same problem on the same software you're on. Once they fix this, I'm going to turn off automatic updates. This is getting ridiculous. I'm sure if I contacted Support about this they would have me go through all these hoops to fix it when they actually know what the problem is. It's their servers. Customer service at META really sucks.

Until Meta fixes it, this is a temporary fix for me. I’m playing all my games now. Via Link cable.

I have a rift.  Everything was working fine up until this release:

Meta Horizon Link version 83.0.0.333.349 (83.0.0.333.349)

Now I'm getting no feedback to the headset (IE no image/desplay),

I've updated GPU drivers, I've run a repair on the Meta Horizon Link software using Meta repair tool.  I've removed devices.  I've strip the PC of all drivers/software and re-installed.

This build does not work.

There is also no way to role back - as the role back option requires you "Navigate to Meta Experience" - which you can't do if there is no display in the HUD. 🤦🏻‍♂️

I have even tried the Beta release:

Meta Horizon Link version 85.0.0.192.552 (85.0.0.192.552)

this also give me no visual feedback to the headset.

Yes I've seen the temp fix by disabling the internet - but the Rift is cable connected, so this temp fix does not work for rift.

maybe try this?

Apply an OUTBOUND RULE for OculusDashboard.exe in the Windows Defender Firewall, change it in properties to BLOCK CONNECTION. Everything works after that, it's a temporal solution.

it works.

in the latest version the exe is in

C:\Program Files\Meta Horizon\Support\oculus-dash\dash\bin\OculusDash.exe

The problem is on the side of META. If you take your PC off the network, the headset will connect ok. After that you can connect to the network again.

You do not need to deactivate the router or close the wifi on the headset. the problem is on the Quest link side. It calls some Meta server that does not reply and keeps waiting.

I got the same issue well. A few days ago My Meta horizon link was working just fine and then after a day or two it just stopped working completely and I did no changes at all. I tried all troubleshooting techniques. I tried resetting it unplugging my router. I'm plugging back in, uninstalling meta horizon, resetting my computer, updating my graphics card drivers, EVERYTHING! Meta please fix this issue!
