The issue i’m having is that my sensors aren’t tracking my headset, my controllers work perfectly fine though they are above me and off to the side. I keep getting the issue of “Your sensor is tracking your position but cant see the front of your headset.”Its an old oculus rift cv1 that i recently got a new coord for, so the coord shouldnt be a problem. Ive cleaned my sensors, reset my pc, reset my oculus, im not sure what else to try. If i am emailed i can send logs if that helps.
So about a few days ago, I decided to buy a new Link Cable for my Quest 3, one that connect both to my PC AND an External Charger. However after using the cable for 1.5 weeks, there are times when using the Link Cable, the Video feed cuts off and I can't get the Video feed to comeback. I have to close PC Link on my Headset and Restart the OVR Server on my PC, and doing this so many times can be painful and annoying, I've tried finding the root of the problem by trying my old (official) Link Cable, Installing Different Operating Systems on Seperate Drives, Factory Formatting my Headset, Reinstalling and Updating the Link Software and Quest 3 Firmware, but none of those things were able to fix the problem. Could my Headset just be having a failing USB-C port?
Hey I'm trying to reprovision a Quest 3 for a conference we're doing, but the Android app keeps crashing on my Samsung/Android phone. I have most recent app and most recent Android version. Is there really no other way to pair a factory reset headset? Borrowing someone else's phone is not an option. Surely there must be another way to reconnect my quest to my account?
Hello,I've started having this issue just recently, as it was working fine before. Basically the meta link would work fine until 5-10 minutes in, then the headset display would freeze, though the audio and head movement did not. Restarting the headset and re-plugging the link cable in don't work, and if I were to disconnect the horizon link, then no matter what I did, the link would not connect anymore. The only way to get the link started again that I've found is to just do a full PC restart.I'm using a Quest 3 and a brand new link cable, but I doubt those are the issue. I've tried some fixes I've seen on here but none worked. And before you tell me about AirLink, no, it's too unstable for me to use.
Well I'm now a topic starter after replying on a two year old post. So - I have a few minutes this morning and will start a fresher discussion on this topic. OH - and in case you didn't see a posting date. I'm creating this on March 1, 2026. Last week my spouse's Q3 stopped charging. The charging has never been an issue since we purchased them well over a year ago. As most users have already noted, the battery barely lasts half as long as the Quest 2 did. So - we also purchased battery packs after a few 45 minute sessions gave low battery messages. We connect the auxilliary battery as soon as we've turn our Q3's on, and could probably play for hours, but being in our 70's our average play time is a little over an hour, occasionally stretching to 90 minutes. So enough of that. It worked fine for well over a year like that. Last Monday, my spouse's headset wouldn't charge. It had drained to 76% after our regular playtime, and we put it on the cha
Hello Meta Support, I am experiencing a series of issues regarding account management on my Quest device:Cannot Add Profile: When trying to add a new account, it shows "You are unable to be added to this device at this time."App Sharing Error: I cannot enable App Sharing, receiving the error "Something went wrong."Invite Error: Failed to send invite links with the error "There was a problem sending the invite."I have checked my internet connection and both device and app are up to date. Looking forward to your reply. Thanks!
Dear Meta I have big problems with : Casting, Inviting friends to multiplayer games and sharing my view through calls. When i try to cast from meta horizon app it says that the host ended the casting even though i didnt. When i try to invite my friend to a multiplayer game for him it says can not join, try later. When he invites me it works well. Finally when i try to call my friend through the chats app it instantly says "You ended the call" . I have spent several hours reasearching and it never worked. I do not know what to do , please help
I have set up my Quest 1 with a Meta account. The Quest's UI only shows a Profile name (@…), no other account information. I can access my purchased games there, too.On https://secure.oculus.com/my/quest/ I can see those same games for the Quest. So, the account I use there knows about my original Quest account and the installed games. However, when I click the "Devices" link on that page, it opens https://auth.meta.com/settings/my/devices/ but that page shows NO devices ("A Meta Quest device isn't registered to your account right now. Set up a headset to get started.").Is that expected behavior?Or what might be wrong that prevents my Quest 1 to appear in the meta account? The link "personal details" (going to https://accountscenter.meta.com/?returnURL=profile ) also clearly knows about my @… Profile, so that connection is set up.I just wonder if something is missing.
I just spent $300 on a new quest 3, and I can't even use it because the app is garbage. I might as well just return it at this point, I have spent the past 2 hours researching ways to get the app to run just long enough for me to set up my quest and after uninstalling and reinstalling and restarting my phone tens of times nothing has changed. Why would you even require a mobile app???? That's the dumbest idea I've ever heard, why can't I just set it up through the computer??? I don't use apple, I have an Android phone, it's fully up to date with plenty of storage so there's nothing wrong on my end, it's the app.
so there was new update on quest 2 and now when i try to connect to my pc it says charging cabel detected when i am using the cable i been using for so long. its good cable. good connection and everything. i dont this there is fix but can somone send support to meta horizon link. i need to fix this, please try to help and tell me if its happening to you guys tho
I just bought a meta quest one and I cannot pair the vr to my meta horizon app smh🤦
Hi,I recently had to re-pair my Quest 3 to the Meta Horizon Link PC app. I paired the link via wifi/airlink with no issues (confirmation code sent and confirmed on PC app). However, when launching the link, the headset displays a message stating that "Your device setup is still in progress. Please take off your headset and continue with setup on the Meta Horizon Link app on your computer." On the PC app, it's stuck on a page displaying the text "Choose how to connect. - Over USB.... - Over Wi-fi...." with no other buttons except for a "Learn More" link that takes me to the Meta website. I cannot navigate to any other pages, and the back button (<-) in the top left corner is grayed out and unclickable.I've also connected to the app via USB and I am still seeing the "Your device setup is still in progress" message on my headset and the "Choose how to connect" page on the PC app. Any thoughts on how to get out of this loop? Tha
When I launch meta horizon link on my pc, it tells me that I don't have enough storage for the app that I need 12.69 GBs of storage but I have 30 GBs free on my computer. I have no idea if this is causing the error but when I launch pcvr on the meta quest it tells me critical error that I need to update the app but there is no update. It allows me to play but I'm assuming that this is what is causing the lag, I just don't know how get the app the update. Let me know if you know how to fix or have a question that I need to answer.
I haven't used my oculus quest for a while... at lease a year or two.I bought it in 2020. I switched it on and reactivated the meta horizon app. Thankfully everything seems good and any apps/games purchased are still there.Problem is when I log into meta.com it the device doesn't appear. Both logins are same email but it feels like they are 2 different accounts. I know my login PW for the meta horizon app but I'm unable to find my PW for meta.com as it just takes me straight to the 2 factor authentication process... sending codes to mobile etc.Would greatly appreciate any ideas/advice as I fear it may cause problems if I buy a more up to date device. Be good to get meta.com to recognise my meta horizon account.
My oculus screen keeps freezing, I reseted it 10 times then i factory restarted it and now the screen is black. my controllers also keep disconnecting too, i took the batteries and even replaced them and it’s keeps disconnecting. i looked up how to fix it and nothing works
So I just bought a 3s the other day ago, fully charged it and followed the instructions that were in the box to initially set it up. When I first turned it on it took me to the passthrough mode with 3 dots just in the center blinking. I never got the initial setup screen where It walks you through the controllers, language selection, etc. I tried downloading the app to see if I had to do that but nothing. I tried force restarting it and hard rebooting it. During the hard reboot I received a no command and from there it would tell me to force restart it again. None of that seems to work since every time I do it and I finally turn it back on it just seems to do the same thing of going into passthrough with 3 dots no letting me set it up.
My airlink was not working for oculus link nor steamvr. I looked for 4 hours for solutions online. I ended up deleting my entire oculus file on my pc and it didn't work. I went through all of the troubleshooting methods. then I used virtual desktop, but it was too laggy. So i read somewhere that factory resetting my headset could fix it. So since it was my last ditch effort, i decided to. Now all of my games and apps are missing and i only have one account with two emails. all of my apps are missing on the mobile app, the website, and on the headset. I have tried verifying my headset on this account using the serial number on the left side of the headset. It did not recognize my serial number. I have tried using the email that I purchased the headset with. It did not recognize the device. I have tried looking for my receipt. my receipt is gone. I do not know what to do. Edit: I solved it. it was an issue with one of the names on my internet not being able to airlink. While i still
Whenever I try starting up meta link my headset will display this image It will not stop loading and will spam my windows notifications about how my link isn't working and that I should check a support article that doesn't exist.I've tried every solution at this point including:Restarting pc and quest multiple timesBlocking oculus outbound rules on firewall settingsClearing all temp fileRelocating my link cable to a different USB portBlocking my ethernet before starting linkReinstalling and repairing meta pcvr appTrying to use airlink to play, doesn't workDoes anyone have any other fixes I can use?
I hook up to a hotspot off my laptop that is running at 5 GHz. With my quest 2 I always had three bars of signal strength. My laptop is no more than 7 feet away from me. Other things (phone, tv, and iPad) hook up to the hotspot without issue. Even when I’m fortunate enough to have my quest 3 headset connect to Wi-Fi my favorite game; Population one refuses to connect often. The quest 3 headset tries to connect displaying the same message over and over and over again. “ Obtaining IP address, followed by saved”. The process repeats over and over until that headset connects to Wi-Fi. Once it connects to Wi-Fi, I can go anywhere that I want. It often fails to connect to the Population 1 game and is very annoying. From 7 feet away I get only two little bars on the Wi-Fi symbol. In the left hand corner. I’ve read that forgetting the Wi-Fi and logging into it again works. I’ve done that numerous times. I’ve even factory reset my headset a couple of times. Nothing seems to w
So I reset my old oculus quest 2 to give to my sister and the controllers no longer work, how do I get past the connect controllers screen with hand tracking?
Quest 2 shows a code but there’s nowhere to input this in my son’s android phone.i set my 13 yo up in family account but we can’t pair his phone to the headset. The headset options do not fully populate so we can’t select his unit. The app is the most current one.We have the code but there’s nowhere to type it in.i have an iPhone and i was able to pair straight away but this means he can only use the VR on my account so what’s the point of having child restricted options if he can’t use his profile?please help
Hi,I got a very specific problem. In need to connect my Quest 3 to a PC, which is around 8 metres away (I'm from Austria, so no inch or feet here ;-)). My problem is, there doesn't seem to exist any cable which is longer than 5 metres. And also I need the loading feature included because of using the Quest for some hours without interrupting. So, how do I solve this? Or is this not possible because of some technical restrictions I'm not aware of?And don't mention Air Link. I'm not able to use it, as the purpose is to use it for flight sims, so the best picture quality is required. And I will not buy a secondary router just to use it with airlink. Beside this, it's also not possible, as the pc is already wired with my home network, so no 2nd RJ45-connection available.Any tips/links for suitable cables or a plain "nope, not possible" would be very helpful.Thx. P.S.: Sorry for the bad english in advance. :-D
My wifi bought the Meta Quest 3 to our son. It is updated but I can't seem to get it to work with our home network, the Meta Q 3 destroys the network every time.We have a Zyxel Air FWA510 5G modem/router (Wifi 6), excellent 5G reception, stable, fast, everything runs smoothly, 4k streams on Chromecast, Xbox series X gaming etc until... my son turns on the Meta Quest 3, after 2-15 minutes everything freezes and the router has to be rebooted.Went through all available router setting, found nothing that helped, created separate networks, switched between 2,4 GHz and 5,0 GHz and no differences, updated to the latest firmware. Can't turn off QoS in the router settings. The router is 1-2 meters from the VR-set, so literally as close as you can get. We don't do any PC-gaming, only built in games. If a create a wifi hot-spot on my phone, it all runs smooth (same carrier/isp as the 5G router). What should I do??
Just got the quest 3 and each time I try to pair it with the app it says it cant find a headset even though it is on
