I have my Quest 3s for half a year now, and I'm using it with a USB-A to USB-C link cable, which has not been giving me any issues in this time, but since coming back from a 2 week vacation and updating the software, the Quest only repeatedly plays the 'connected' sound, but neither starts charging nor allows me to link to my PC. I have tried restarting both devices and using a different port, which brought no improvements. However, the quest charges fine with the normal charging cable. Could the charging cable be broken or are there other possible causes for this?
My sons Quest 2 headset asked for an update to be done. We should go to meta.com/device and enter the code on screen when prompted. Did this and it says (in swedish, translated to english - 'invalid device code request') If I then click support or troubleshoot, I can't login to that as it says the account doesn't exist, or that it's not connected. Help?...
Hello,I’ve read a lot of tech blurb about the pro’s and cons of using a dedicated high speed router but it’s all Greek to me. I just seek a simple answer please.I use the Quest 3 S for flight sim using X-Plane 12 but need to use a cable to connect headset to pc as I get jitters, stops and starts using Air-link. Would a dedicated high-speed router be beneficial and allow me to use the headset wireless?I need to connect my pc to the internet to access other services whilst flying. Can I still connect to the internet? Would I connect my standard router to the high-speed router then the high-speed router to the pc?If yes to the above, can anyone recommend a mid-priced high-speed router that will do the job please?Sorry to appear so clueless but I’m clueless when it comes to all the tech jargon but I do enjoy flight sim with the Meta Quest 3 S.Thanks
A few days ago, I was playing VR table tennis on my Quest 3. I took the headset off for a drink of water, and when I put it back on, the screen went black. I did a forced restart, and it showed a screen with a progress bar. After the progress bar completed, the usual boot animation played. However, once the animation finished, the screen went black again.I forced a reboot again, but this time it entered USB UPDATE MODE. None of the options on the screen are responsive — selecting any of them just brings me back into USB UPDATE MODE. I also can’t connect it to my PC.I’ve seen that others who experienced the same issue were able to get a replacement through their retailer or Meta support. However, I’m located in China and bought my Quest 3 through Amazon Global (Amazon’s international shopping service). The original seller is Amazon US, but the customer service for Amazon Global told me they cannot provide after-sales support for this issue and advised me to contact Meta directly.I reall
Hey, i bought a Meta Quest 3 to play Arkham Shadow since me and my friend wanted to play through all games, but when i cast the quest 3 to discord, it never captures the game audio. I've tried casting to web and to a phone to then stream that, but both are no dice so now i'm asking here in a desperate attempt to figure it out. Please help me out.
I have seen a few posts on this on the internet but my quest 3 just keeps chiming and trying to connect constantly when I plug the link cable in. Is there a fix yet? I use my quest 3 for sim racing on iracing and it needs to be connected for the way I use it and this makes it useless and sim racing not dooable for me until this is fixed. As you can imagine sim racing means I have a lot of expensive PC equipment now just sitting there doing nothing until this is fixed and of course I can't race / enjoy my hobby. This started a few days ago when an update was installed and applied - I do wish meta would not mess with things when it has worked fine - these updates seem to cause more trouble than they are worth.Does anyone know if a fix is coming soon to fix this? If so how do we apply it if the Quest 3 won't connect? I am a bit concerened that this update has "bricked" my new Quest 3.
Yesterday it was working just fine.Today I tried to connect but it only kicked me out saying that my wifi is weak (which it isn't, it's very fast). Now it ended up showing my PC as "not connected" I tried everything; Restarting my Pc, Quest 2, Router. I reinstalled the App and it still doesn't work. The software of the Quest 2 is the newest and the driver is also the newest for the app and all I legit checked it all and it doesnt work anymore. Which sucks I only have games on my pc and not on the quest 2.
my firend got a used quest 2 and he can't get past setup becuos he can't pair the controllers
Situation/Context:I am in a position where I work with multiple Meta Quest 3 VR-headsets (one at a time, but multiple lying around). Since I do not work alone these multiple Meta Quest 3's belong to a pool of VR-headsets, freely usable by anyone around.Problem:When having a Meta Quest 3 linked to a computer via the Meta Quest Link app (Air Link), a new connection with another Meta Quest 3 cannot be established — neither is it possible to have multiple VR-headsets connected at the same time, nor does a new connection (attempt) disconnect the current one.If a VR-headset is connected to some computer and not actively disconnected, it will try to connect to this very computer everytime both devices are turned on and connected to the same WiFi. If the paired VR-headset is now being used by someone else, who is not using the Air Link option, this very connection stays active. As a result the computer, which is still linked to the now-away-VR-headset, cannot be used with another VR-headset —

Anyone having a continuous disconnect and reconnect issue with the link cable after this new update????
Hello! We recently received a meta quest 2 from friends as a gift. It was signed in on other peoples accounts so I factory reset the device and created my own meta account on my phone. When I looked in the headset it said I needed to pair the device with my phone using the meta mobile app using the displayed code. I pressed add and new device in the mobile app and selected meta quest 2. Then I entered the code displayed on the screen of the headset however it said headset not found please make sure the code entered was correct and try again. I have tried many times and read through the troubleshooting and forums but nothing seems to work, as I can’t do anything on the headset until I connect it using this code. What do I do? Thanks, Isla.
I recently purchased the Meta Quest 3S and attempted to connect it to my Windows laptop using Meta Quest Link. However, I encountered a compatibility issue with the graphics card. My laptop model is ASUS ExpertBook B1400CEPEY, equipped with an NVIDIA GeForce MX330 GPU.Upon launching the Meta Quest Link setup, I received the following message:"Graphics Card Not Compatible – You won't be able to use the Link feature, as your system's graphic card is incompatible with it."I understand that the MX330 may not meet the minimum requirements for Link, but I would appreciate your guidance on the following:Is there any workaround or alternative method to use Link with this GPU?Would wireless streaming options such as Virtual Desktop or ALVR be viable with my current hardware? Are there any updates or future support planned for broader GPU compatibility?I’m eager to make the most of my Meta Quest 3S and would appreciate any assistance or recommendations you can provide.Thank you for your time and
On June 6th, 2025, my Quest 3's right controller abruptly stopped working after briefly reporting a low (but likely incorrect) battery level. It was working perfectly a few days prior. After trying the standard troubleshooting steps, I’ve concluded that the controller was likely bricked by a failed firmware update, and there’s no available way for me to recover it except to pay $50 for a refurbished replacement. Here's what happened:libosutils Failed to get real path of file '/data/vendor/misc/sensors/latestfwversion/f43058c4acd3faab', err: No such file or directory 18:48:39.573 SensorService Failed to read from file /data/vendor/misc/sensors/latestfwversion/f43058c4acd3faab 18:48:39.573 libosutils Failed to get real path of file '/data/vendor/misc/sensors/batteryinfo/f43058c4acd3faab', err: No such file or directory 18:48:39.573 SensorService Failed to read from file /data/vendor/misc/sensors/batteryinfo/f43058c4acd3faab These errors show that the controller is failing to re

Whenever I try to connect to my PC, I get stuck in a loading screen, and it says PC disconnected. When I check the PCVR menu in quick settings, it shows my computer, and if I look at the same spot after I click launch, it says looking for PCs or whatever, and whenever I exit, it shows my PC. I've tried Air Link and the traditional cable method, and they all do the same thing.
Every time I play on my quest 3 every Like 3 mins Wi-Fi keeps going out I've tried everything still not working a update needs roll out to fix it please help me out because I just bought it an would like to know how to fix it
I am trying to configure the builtin Remote Desktop app with a second Windows 11 PC using the Mixed Reality app.I have it paired with 1 PC no problem whatsoever, but as soon as I launch it, it logs into the PC it is already paired with. I'm sure I previously had an option to select which PC to connect to, but at the very least I can't even see a way to unpair a PC that it's connected with so I can pair it with a new one.I would like to have the option to connect to either PC, rather than only being able to pair with one at a time.

I have a Quest 2 and a Quest 3. My wife and I both enjoy being in the Oculus.Question: Is there a way that we can both be in the Oculus(s) at the same time and both have access to the apps we have purchased? Perhaps even be able to have our own avatarsand meet up in some of the apps? Right now all app purchases have been under MY Meta login. We'd appreciate any guidance. Thanks !
I’m thinking I made a big mistake buying the quest 3. Here’s why…. When I try to connect to Steam, everything is good. I can play SubSide with no issues. The games that are causing so much frustration are DCS and Elite Dangerous. These two games are the only reason I bought a VR headset. When I try and run these games they show them loading and loading and loading. It never finishes.I have a new PC. It’s a Win 11 PC with 32gb ram and a new MSI RTX5070 graphic card. All drivers and firmware are up to date. Steam and SteamVR links as well as “Meta Link” are all current. Same with headset firmware. I use the META link cable to connect to the PC. As well, everything runs on Ethernet. No WIFI.I would very much appreciate some assistance. Many thanks.
The meta app shows secondary child account as paired to headset. Profiles in headset does not show the secondary account. I’ve tried adding the profile via email link. But the Link request remains even after completion on the app. Also tried just pairing child account on app. Always shows on app that the profile is paired. Never becomes available in headset.Multiple factory resets. Deleted first child account, made a new one. Still the same problem. Tech support has been unable to find a solution. This is my last ditch effort before I just return it and get my money back.
Does the Quest need to be on or can it be in sleep mode or off to be updated, like if I'm not home.Does the link cable need to be plugged in? Does the app need to be open, or can I leave it closed? When you are not using our Quest, how do you store it?I leave mine upside down on my game table. Does it matter when my Quest is told to update buythe system? I have everything turned on to self-update.
Each time i load up air link it just puts me on an infinite loading screen and when i tried link with a cable it works but my vision is all glitched and distorted... Can anyone help?
