Meta Quest Remote Desktop won´t start on Windows 11 Pro

Dear Community,
I have a problem running Meta Quest Remote Desktop on Windows 11 Pro 23H2 (Build 22631.4037).
 
Installation with Meta Quest Remote Desktop Setup.msi (Version from 13.8.24) works fine and shows no errors.
 However, when Opening the App Meta Quest Remote Desktop nothing happens and in the task manager MQRDCrashpadHandler is shown for 1-2 seconds.
 
How can I install the Meta Quest Remote Desktop App on my machine. Happy to collect further data to solve the
problem.

Could get the App to Start by removing the "Meta Virtual Monitor" Device in Windows Device Manager. After removing that device the App started and could be configured and run correctly. The "Meta Virtual Monitor" got re-installed too...

I did a full format and installed Windows 10 Pro again, and it still doesn't work. This is a Meta Remote Desktop problem that has to be resolved, that's all.

    Hello Meta... Same problem here. Try to install it and nothing works on PC 1. On PC2 it's looping (Install, Install... ) On my 3. PC it has been installed, after Reboot it's gone in the Task and is not opening at all. I love my Quest 3 and would like to use it with Workrooms (Please improve that also again!). Next try was to install the Beta Version of Quest Link, but it's not getting better. Quite the opposite... Please help us...

    I don't know what happened, I gave up and started downloading immersed. Then immersed asked me to restart my computer, and when I did, meta quest remote desktop showed up instantly, asking me to log in and check my browser. I did so and now I'm typing this from MQRD

    Hello there,

    same problem since a few weeks (stopped working after the desktop app update in August / September timeframe, before it worked just fine), similar configuration (Win 11 Pro). I tried all the listed workarounds and nothing worked so far. 

    App can be installed and login is possible, does show up in headset but any connection attempt terminates back to selection after 10-15 seconds.

    Configuration:

    OS: Win 11 Pro 23H2 on Intel i9-13900K, 128 GB RAM, RTX 3080Ti 

    Win App Version: 8.0.0.3.115

    Quest 3 App Version: 76.0.0.3.125 / Version Code 659053548

    Quest 3 OS:  Version 69.0.0.576.352.641228209, Runtime-Version: 69.0.0.570.355.641203395 OS Version: SQ3A.220605.009.A1

    One (possible) hint on the issue: looking at the logs in AppData/Roaming, the common error when trying to connect the Quest 3 to Desktop seems to be "XR2DS_ERROR_NOT_LISTENING".

    Would appreciate any hints and of course a solution.

    Meta Quest Remote Desktop app installs fine, but wont launch at all here. On Windows 11 Pro 23H2... Windows Problem Reporting app shows on task manager for a sec, so remote desktop app is crashing immediately after launch.

      Meta Quest Remote Desktop app seems to work fine on my Amd Ryzen 3600 machine with Radeon 5700XT, but does not work on my intel nuc:s, so it might not like the intel igpus. The nucs and the Ryzen computer are both running Windows 11 Pro 23H2 and the latest Meta Quest Remote desktop app. It might be helpful to post some minimum requirements for the remote desktop app.

      Did find a solution today.
      Problem : After installing Meta Quest remote Desktop, app always crashing when opening it.

      Soltuion: (Found somewhere on internet) Just intal IMMERSED windows app, then by magical Meta Quest remote Desktop work... Don't know why but it works...

        It works! I can finally test this "Quest Remote Desktop" feature and I can now say that it's not worth it. I work in VFX with 3 monitors and one of the problems is the delay that is felt when moving the mouse and moving a window, and sometimes for some reason the screen freezes or goes black.
         
        Maybe this feature is useful for emergencies or if you use a laptop and want privacy in what you see... I don't know.
