So I figured out how to fix without loading other software. If you have tried to reboot your meta quest 2 and also your router here is how I fixed ours. I was using the meta quest 2 and was connected to my wifi with limited connection and then opened the browser. When the browser opens it show my time and date are not correct and allowed me to hit settings to correct it. As soon as I did all functions returned as normal, hope this helps

Limited access means that your phone is connected to Wi-Fi, but the Wi-Fi network isn't connected to the internet. That means the Wi-Fi doesn't have a working internet connection. You can take all the benefits of a Wi-Fi network in this situation, but you won't be able to use the internet to open websites or apps.

this seems to be a problem with your router/modem.

Limited connection means that the system has successfully connected to the router, but the computer wasn't assigned a valid IP address, so you can't actually get to the Internet. ... If you're connected to a home network, try restarting the router. Check if you are able to obtain an IP (internet protocol) address

you could also remove all wifi devices from the network, then reconnect them.  sometimes there is an ip conflict.

This: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Sh8MvuoAdfo

In a nutshell: you connect your headset to a computer and (install and) open Sidequest, then find the app 'Android Settings' and launch it, and in the app there is a way to change different settings on your headset, including date and time.

What worked for me was setting the correct date and time ( it was off by months and thus internet / DNS was getting blocked

JUST GET SETTINGS APP AND SET THE CORRECT DATE AND TIME

Happy to say I found my own work around before doing a factory reset (honestly don't believe it would of solved anything)

For starters this is in response to being sent into the future 2037...I suspect do to recent update to 37

Tried every other option Ive found in these and other blogs.

So open SideQuest (no more sidequest tv) go to "currently installed apps" -> switch "show all" -> find com.android.settings click gear setting and "launch app" -> on your Oculus scroll down to the "System" and select -> Go to "date and time" switch off "network-provided time" enter manually and your good to go!

Sure hope Oculus fixes this with an update was about to be pretty upset having to do a factory restore

What's SideQuest?

Also I'm having the same problem.

Sidequest is a program for your PC that allows you to do a lot of different things.  One of those this is change your headset date.   Setting it up takes a bit of time but the website walks you through it pretty well.  Only issue I had related to installing the drivers in windows 11.  But Google was there for me  (like always).

This issue was driving me nuts, you're a life saver, thank you!
This is by far the worst bug introduced in an updated and the worst is that they can't fix it for people who have no internet connection on the Quest now...

Totally agree...they’re gonna need to release an official side load tool or just partner up with sidequest because they saved the day in this scenario.

so happy I could help another from that rather stressful moment 😁
