Question

Quest 2 - Connected to wifi but suddenly "No Internet"

This issue just popped up on my new Quest 2. Was working for since launch no problem. Suddenly tonight no matter which network I join I get the "no internet" message. Internet is working fine on my router as I'm typing this on a computer connected to the same. Also in the app it says "Failed to connect to Oculus servers" and when I try and set/forget the network through that it just hangs and then says "Something went wrong. Please Try again" over and over.

Anyone have any fixes? I tried restarting the headset multiple times.

yo i have a fix for you, ive also done everything like factory resetting to literally restarting my entire router but nothing worked except this 1 thing. Theres a apk called swifi which will manage between your network so it wont get confused link is right here ----> https://m.apkpure.com/swifi-auto-switch-nearest-wifi/com.seah0rse.swififree You have to sideload it to your oculus using sidequest, don't worry i promise you theres are the safest things i use them myself its easy link right here for download ----> https://github.com/SideQuestVR/SideQuest/releases/download/v0.10.27/SideQuest-Setup-0.10.27-x64-win.exe How to sideload it if you don't know is use a type c cable to plug into your oculus, go on your oculus and allow your computer to use files from your oculus. When you open sidequest click the button next to the wifi symbol and find the apk in downloads it should be the first file you see. Click it, press open and the apk is successfully installed. go to unknown sources  on your oculus to find the swifi apk and click it. i recommend putting your wifi strength to -70 dBm or over but not -100 dBm or over it works for me so it should work for you

I've been having this issue recently too. Not sure whatever update that did it, but now it does what everyone else here describes for the past week or two. Running out of options since not even my friends know what's wrong with it.

I've been experiencing the same issue. I connect to the Wi-Fi network and it says it is connected but no internet. I don't know what to do, I just want to be ready to play bonelab man. 😞

Hey there, the thing that helped me was forcing my oculus to cast on my phone App, that pushed the internet connection. Since then been having no more problems. So connect to your game and cast

it to your phone, hope it works for you too.

I tried the phone casting thing and it won't let me cast to my phone it just loads forever and then says there was a problem casting. I tried factory resetting the headset like other people said to do and that deleted everything and of course I can't download anything without an internet connection, so I'm kind of in a state of limbo with it.

Hey there, mcdadenevaeh39. Thank you for reaching out and letting us know that you are having WiFi issues and are not able to use your device. We know how troublesome it is when your connection is acting all finicky, and we would like to help to get this straightened out.

So we can do just that can you tell us the following?

Have you reset the headset been reset? If not, here is how:

To restart your headset:

  1. With your headset on and powered on, press and hold the power button on the right side of your headset until you see the Power off screen.
  2. Select Restart. Your headset will turn off and then turn back on.

If you're unable to restart your headset:

  1. Press and hold the power button for at least 10 seconds. This will manually turn off your headset.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Press and hold the power button until your headset turns back on.

What have you done for troubleshooting?

We are looking forward to your reply

I have the same issue but because I am still setting up the VR set I am stuck on the no internet connection screen. I am connected as it shows this when you select the other internet connection option. I have tried removing and re entering the network and it doesn't fix it. Nor does restarting the headset or app. All other personal devices are working fine on the internet connection. The whole set up process so far has been full of bugs and workarounds. Such as the family center not working in the app. I had to remove the app to do the parental controls and child set up online then reinstall the app. Hugely unimpressed and ready to return this s##t
