quest 2 not connecting to pc suddenly

So until now ive been able to just connect the link cable and use my headset on the pc freely now suddenly the pc app wont even recognize the headsets been plugged in, which kinda sucks since all my games are on the pc so basically cant do anything with my headset until a new update or a fix unless i want to buy the games over again. Not sure what to do to fix it

Hey AryaSvitkona, could you confirm which update you're on at this moment? The last update for this issue was around 57.0.0.254.153. I want to confirm that detail and if any other updates have been completed. I want to make sure I bring this up to our engineer team as quickly as possible.

Nothing you guys can do. Do not do any resetting or anything. It went out for me for months and finally got yhr latest 57 update and the oculus pc software had a driver update and Airlink started working again. Not as good as before but I was able to play stern pinball again finally so that's good enough for me for now. As an aside if you havent tried stern pinball it is a must have tons of free play and the recreations are unbelievable

It's not about airlink.....you are right, this is working.

Cable link does not. It's a known issue and the M;eta team is working on that.

I'm still on PTC and got the update to a new version of v57 this morning - 57.0.0.254.153

With that version cable link is working again without any workarounds.

Just wait a little longer....you will get that update too.

Unfortunately, I did not get any further. Support asked me to join the Public Test Channel and install the latest version. However, I still can't connect to the glasses via USB 3.x, but I can via USB 2.0.

Yes, it has already been checked if the USB 3.X port is defective and all drivers are installed etc..
Still writing with the Support.

Check the version of oculus pc app.

v57.0.0238.153 = cable link is not working

v57.0.0.254.153 = bug is fixed and cable link is working again

They started the roll out of the fixed version a few days ago......it might take some time until you get it.

They still couldn't find the issue ... I reinstalled windows 11 with nvidia drivers and oculus software and still can't etablish a connection via USB 3.x.
Cable swapped, ports swapped, half year old computer and oculus headset (which worked until August).

Looks like there is an issue from Oculus software. It can't be a local software problem, if the system was freshly installed!

The headset was returned via the company from which I purchased the headset. It is now being checked by a certified Meta Partner.

This is still a problem on latest firmware: 57.0.0.297.669.526537896

Firmware update seems to have disabled certain functions to pass through on headset via USB connection. Meta please fix this, looking across the forums this has been a problem for a few months and still not fixed.

And.... has been a problem with past firmwares.

Finally I received a replacement headset from my local store where I bought the headset.
They forgot the 5m link cable that's why I tried the new quest 2 with the short cable inside the package on my USB 3.2 port. Guess what ... connection etablished but only in USB 2.0 mode ... (see Screenshot)
I restarted the computer, tried different ports and flipped the plug direction from USB-C, still USB 2.0 connection.

Today (3 days later) I received the 5m link cable and I didn't have desire to try it, but I still did. Guess what ... USB 3.2 connection etablished.

How can that be!? I'm struggling since August with that issue and out of nowhere it works?
Installed Oculus Version: 59.0.0.138.366

TL;DR
After headset replacement, two times reinstall of whole system, it works now with Oculus Version: 59.0.0.138.366
