Quest 2 - Quest pro controllers update stuck at 0%

Hi I just got my Quest Pro controllers today and paired them to my headset (Quest 2), however I can't use them and a little pop up saying "Controller update in progress (Left 0%) (Right 0%)" keeps appearing evey 30 seconds, I left the controllers a while to update but they never progress past 0%

    Hey everyone! It seems like this was an issue for quite a few users over the past week. The good news is that we've been hearing reports of Pro controllers finally updating now! If you haven't, go ahead and try again to see if your controllers are updating and working. 

    If you're still getting stuck with your controllers not updating, please let us know!

    Thankfully I bought them through Amazon, so if they aren't working by Monday, back they go.

    I was told it's a known issue and fix is coming, no date is given thought. Alot of people were able to get it work after trying multiple times, I wasn't as lucky. So gotta wait for software update I guess.

      That is good news that they told you it is a known issue. Before they were acting like it wasn't a known issue. How long have you been trying? It took me three days. Last time I tried, I tapped up the light sensor inside the head set and plugged it in. I then paired each controller and pair those in. I set it aside for a few hours. I was actually surprised, that worked. I had been trying for three days. If you haven't tried that trick, give it a go.

      IS been 2 daya juat enter the 3 i hope its gonna work today i spend like 2 hor evry day trying

      I find it pretty unethical to be merging all the posts asking about this problem into one thread that is marked “solved” when there isn’t actually a solution.

        Is there any actual solution by this point? Its been almost 3 months lol.... I have tried everything, does anyone have any new ideas/something that has worked?

        just started working people. Update pushed that fixed it for me, hopefully resolves everyones issues.

        I got the firmware update downloading.  Fingers crossed.

        Same just got an update for the headset and after installing the controllers updated to 100%. Had to reboot after that for them to be available but seems good now.

        ****FIX!!!  ***** Ok I cant guarentee this will work for everyone and the steps I took might just be coincidental, please let me know if this worked for you.  First off I want to say that I tried EVERYTHING to get my controllers to work and have been actively rebooting them constantly for that last 4 days.

        So how I finally got the controllers to work was pretty simple really. I Factory reset my headset (for the 3rd time) but instead of going through with the rest of the initial setup, I made sure the controllers had Wi-Fi connection  (through phone app) and not charging  and just left them. I came back a couple hours later and to my surprise the headset was still on the first screen after a fresh factory install, but It wasnt saying the controllers needed an update or to make sure they had wi-fi.  The next screen then began the HEADSET update, and I was done (Except to reinstall all my apps)  I really hope this works for others, please leave a comment if this helps you.

          maybe, I tried the repair and restart right before I did this and as I said the headset updated its firmware after the controllers started working.

            Check for headset firmware update v49.88.  That fixed the issue for us.

              I'm on V49.88 can you please tell me your full version number and also the firmware on the controllers, that would help me a lot, thank you

              I am at work at the moment.  I will check what versions I am on and post once I get home.  Someone that also has the fix installed may answer this before I can.

              I just bought a pair of pro because my son broke the regular controllers and I’m stuck on controller update in progress 0%left 0%right and I’ve tried everything and now my battery is dead on the headset
