Quest 3/ Air Link stopped working/ No connection to PC/ PC found but Start Button is greyed out...

I've been using the Quest 3 for almost 8 months now, and before i used the Quest 2 without any problems via Air link/same router/same PC...

This Saturday I'm playing Borderland 2 VR and on Monday the Quest 3 can no longer connect to the PC without any reason.

If I want to activate Air Link via the Q3, my PC is displayed in the Air Link Menü as before, but the Start Button for Air Link remains gray and it says "not connected".

I've already tried everything:Hard reseting the Headset, factory reset, router reset, PC & Quest 3 reset, Meta Quest Link restart via the beta menu in the PC Oculus APP, repair function of the Meta Quest APP, firewall completely switched off but nothing...

Then I read that you should completely delete the Oculus software with all folders and reinstall it.
I did that and lo and behold it worked, for exactly ONE day....

When I booted up my PC today and started Quest 3, the same problem...
The PC is displayed but the start button to start Air Link remains gray and it is not connected.
WHY?
Do I have to completely uninstall the software every time, including all folders, then reinstall it in order to be able to play via Air link for exactly ONE day, which has worked for over 3 years before (Quest 1, Quest 2, Quest 3) without any problems?

The connection works immediately using the original Meta Quest Link cable.
Virtual Desktop APP works also...

PLEASE Help!

Hello everyone I just got word from engineering that they have rolled out a fix for this issue!

If you are experiencing a grayed out button when attempting to launch Air Link or Link, please follow these troubleshooting steps: Put on the Meta Quest headset. Go to "Settings" then select "System". Scroll down to find "Quest Link" and toggle it off, then back on again. Try launching Air Link or Link again.

If the issue persists after following these steps, please try restarting your computer and headset before trying again.

Please do not hesitate to come back to the thread and let us know if you're still experiencing this issue going forward!

Update 6/13/24

Hey everyone, just wanted to give you all a quick update. I've informed the engineers that even after a few hours, we still have several users experiencing the same issue. If you haven't already, please make sure to submit your bug reports

Update 6/26/24

With the launch of V66, a fix was issued that will roll out to everyone soon. Please check your headset system settings to ensure you are on the latest update. As always, please come back and let us know if you are still experiencing this issue after the update.

Sadly, you've told us absolutely nothing of use. Start with your network configuration.

Greetings,

I am unable to connect via airlink on the same setup I have been using for years. When I attempt to connect via airlink, I cannot Pair to the PC. I Click on the PC, and nothing happens, and an orange circle is shown. I have attempted to Repair the Device via Airlink and I have no Joy. Link Works fine.

By charging cable? you mean the one that comes with the quest? Idk if this is meant to be used as a data cable...

Connecting it directly to the graphics card should not work - you have to connect it to a usb c port of the pc, maybe that was what you meant?

Well steam link vr works perfectly guess it’s just Meta’s garbage coding. Hey Meta pay your programmers more than your mods and maybe you want to tell em to save the winky faces for someone who’s actually an idiot.

Meta! What a shame

Airlink used to work like charm V.56 and Quest 2

Now I have a powerful Quest 3 and the last V.67 ... as well as updated the PC Airlink app, and Unreal Engine to 5.4 ... Eeeeeverything updated...

And still Airlink lasts less than a minute before getting disconnected.

Come ooonnnn ... How many thousand millions do you need to just make Airlink work??

Hi All,

I have just acquired the Quest 3 and everything works fine except the Air Link.

I have triple checked that I am on the same wifi network for both PC & Quest 3, and clicked on the Air Link pairing - but nothing happens, it searches unsuccessfully forever.

What am I missing?

so i had this issue vd works but trying to get my PC app to work with link or air link doesn't connect until I tried when in the setup device I picked the quest 2 instead of the quest 3 and BOOM IT FKING CONNECTED so when setting up a quest 3 with a PC just pick the quest 2 in the part where it showed all the headsets and then when its connected it will show up as a quest 3

running newest FW, 69 i think?  same issue as everyone else.  curious if Meta will start issuing refunds for this piece of hardware that hasn’t worked for a long time for some users

My Quest 3 is showing as active and connected in the Desktop Meta Quest Link software. In the headset my PC Shows up in the quick link Airlink connection box. When I click launch it brings up the black screen with the meta logo and three dots but then immediately drops out and I get an error message in Windows 11 that "We Cannot find your headset please connect your headset".

I've tried Turning off Quest link via the system > Quest link, I've repaired a number of times, I've tried rebooting the headset using the volume down and power button and rebooting my router and PC.

I could get airlink working fine with my old Quest 2, but can't get my new Quest 3 to work at all in airlink

Well i can't get my Quest 2 get connected, not via link cable and also not via Air Link.
Worked via link cable 2 days ago (just bought it second hand to see if my PC can pull it).
I suspect that i got a FW-Update and it worked on an old FW but as i am now on firmware version 69
it doesno connect at all anymore.
Did reset the Quest and PC several times to no result.
I guess that i need to buy another brand when my new PC arives.

I've had this issue for quite awhile now, with link and air link. I've tried the accepted solutions, and none of the seem to work. I'm on the latest software and even then, it refuses to work. what do I do?!?!
