Oculus Debug Tool can't connect to service / HMD

When I try to run the Oculus Debug Tool, I just get an error message that says:
Unable to connect to service, or an HMD isn't connected.

What am I doing wrong?  An HMD (CV1) is connected, and Home is running.

For me it's not a problem for now because  the games i'm use in VR have their own pixels multiplicators ( DCS World or Prepar3d with flyinside), but i really hope that Oculus will solve the problem quickly if i want to try other games.

Same issue here. I think I'll look around for another supersampling tool to use while this one is being fixed...

Oculus Staff: Why isn't supersampling a simple option within Oculus Home?

    Mine isn't working either.
