I was happy to see the idea I'm working on now was not featured in the demonstrations so hopefully this will mean it could be a first. I knew the ideas I was previously thinking about would have been thought about by a wider audience making it harder to create something unique I'm currently looking into getting it patented not so much for a profit but actually creating a unique tool I could put my name to
I do hope you have something that's very different from things I've seen, I'm always looking for something new. So many things have been done, it's almost boring anymore. Collaboration? Done. Modeling? Done. Fly/walk through? Done. Social? Done. AR? Done. So 2013. Not to say there isn't room to make business/money off this, and do things better than the next guy. But true innovation is rare.

I will say this I don't believe it has been done as of yet!
what I'm working on would dramatically make things easier more precise and up to date in the certain field I'm targeting and could be used from more than one perspective, so hopefully time will tell. I do believe though within the construction industry I don't think innovations are say as exciting as games/experiences but however I do believe there are many opportunities to create new modern tools/software that can eradicate certain problems we face today
True, the game industry moves much faster than all others. In construction, heads tend to explode if you show them anything like standard 3D stuff, let alone AR or VR. IDEABuilder's collaborative VR home construction tool is like that. Way beyond what folks doing construction dream of.

Yeah I agree with you the construction industry does move slowly with innovation however when things can be proved to improve practice and have more benefits I feel larger organisations will move with the times, with secondary and smaller contractors following suit shortly after. Just look at how poxy health and safety has become over the last 15 years or so. One area that will definitely not be overlooked if improvements/innovations can be added
Some of the larger companies have visionaries at or near the top. Many don't. Construction in particular. You have to prove to them that this new tech (which will cost them money somehow) will in fact either make them 10 times what it costs, or save them 10 times what it costs. It can't just be a 'cool' factor, or save a few bucks.

Exactly, that's why what I've designed will speed up production hence earning money at the same time it's a win win situation, you have to take into consideration the construction industry also don't hold back on tools and equipment, which this fall into. So the cost compared to other equipment would be relevantly cheap, If the product has a reasonable price and ups production it will be seen as a good investment

Hawkeye I would like to purchase your system for use , as I own part of a company and work in the industry. if you really do have a design pitch it to me and I will consider buying it if it really saves more then just a few bucks.

Hi Natemo
I'm currently going through the patent process so can't give too much away at the moment as I'm quite sure this hasn't been done yet, but I'll add a few points of what the product will deliver to the industry/market
• Precise engineering • Meet tolerance levels at ease • Create a higher production work flow • Eliminate the use of dated methods • Cut labour costs • Set a new bench mark for processes used which will hopefully be noticed and followed • Fit into the current market with ease
Here's a few for the moment, I know it's brief but the product will deliver all of these and many more
Fork lift operation training. New forklift driver intoduced to target warehouse layout routes and pathways of equipment. Product location on racks. . . . In vr. Benefits: Safety for existing personell working on the floor. Pre employment testing and general Evaluation of ability to perform. Savings from real use hours on equipment.
General evacuation and safety drills:
Big facility with complicated routes of evacuation and multiple possibilities for threats. General evacuation . . . Use if pathways and routs in case of heavy smoke and low visibility. Evacuation in case of common escape routes blocked or affected by fire. . Chem . . Ext.. . Use of alternatives. .
Once a month half hour "refresher" will allow any person to deal with emergency at work place with ease.
