Windows 10 Compatibility w/ Oculus Rift DK2 - PLEASE READ

Our software team is working as quickly as possible to complete Windows 10 compatibility with our SDK and the Oculus Runtime. As Windows 10 is not officially supported at this time, we strongly suggest that Oculus Rift Development Kit 2 owners do not upgrade from previous versions of Windows until we have the officially updated SDK and Oculus Runtime available.

We're running on a 64-bit PC with Windows 10 & a GTX 980ti. We had the 0.6 Runtime working as long as we kept our DK2 in Extended Mode, but we have Unity 5.3.4 and we can't roll it back because we're using plugins that require the latest. It seems the 0.6 Runtime will not work with Unity 5.3.4 so we need to roll the Runtime forward.

We have tried uninstalling 0.6, restarting, and installing 0.8 as recommended in this thread. When we run the ConfigUtil after that, it indicates "DK2: Ready" but the Demo Scene button is disabled. When we run Tuscany, we have the stereo viewport rendering to our monitor instead of the headset, and no head tracking. IR sensor is giving us a blue light, but the headset light won't go blue. It stays orange. Can anyone help us diagnose this?

Please update to the latest 1.3 Runtime and SDK. This thread is super old and not relevant anymore.

Windows 10 should be working on the latest software and drivers. What headset are you using and with what Oculus software? What video card do you have? On some Nvidia cards you may have to downgrade the video driver, see here:

Hi! I've just got my DK2, I couldn't make it work either. I tried the Runtime 0.8, it didn't work, so I took the 0.7, and it didn't work either.

I'm on a laptop with WIndows 10 (config : Intel core i3 + Nvidia GeForce 820M). And before you say anything : it's not because of my configuration. Indeed : I've made it work!

So, here is an advice for those who can't run the DK2 on Windows 10 : take the Oculus Runtime 0.4. It works perfectly. And maybe the 0.6 also works, I haven't tried yet (after hours spent trying to make it work, I just want to play now, enough crash-testing for me!).
Also, I'd like to report this to the devs : the problem clearly comes from the Runtimes. So, maybe it's a bug? Maybe not, still it's kind of weird : the only Runtimes that don't work on Windows 10 are the ones that should be working on it!

please, will you can sendme the runtime sdk 0.4. ?  do you say,  that the  rumtime works plerfectly in windows 10. please, will you can sayme if  the cyber space, helix and dinoland experiences,  work whith this runtime (0.4) and windows 10 configuration? thak you
