I hope that this is an easy question.I want to get the name of the current sublevel. When I run this.world.name.get() in a sublevel script, I just get the name of the parent world. So how do I get the sublevel name? I need this for scoring in my game.My world allows multiple sublevels to be loaded. So I'm not sure that a global broadcast or variable would work. I basically need to find out what sublevel a script is running in.
I have sublevels scattered around a large space but I find that I have to have duplicate sound clips within each sublevel because of a built-in audio distance limit (apparently 1000 meters?).This seems to apply even if I set the audio to be global. Is there a solution (beyond duplicating my audio clips?)
It seems that there are gizmos that are not accessible to some users. One gizmo I heard about yesterday is the Media Gizmo. However, as another user reported as well, I cannot seem to find this in my Desktop Editor gizmo listing... Does one need more access to enable this gizmo? Alternatively, is it possible to create a typescript/UI that does the same?
Upvote this post if you want to be able to see your estimated bonus earnings for the month.I believe it would motivate us if we knew where we were at with the bonus throughout the month. We would know if any world needs attention, and know which category we need to work on the most. The estimate could work the same way the IWP bonus used to work, how it fluctuated throughout the month based on the current numbers. Whatever the bonus was at the end of the month is how much we earned.
I have brief movement animations (5 seconds) in my TypeScript Horizon Worlds starship game and unfortunately the frame rate drops from 72 fps to 50 fps during those periods. I'm currently using lerp to generate a position for every frame using onUpdate.Any advice for improving movement performance?
Hi everyone, I hope you are all doing great. Just a quick question firstly! Is anyone able to invite me to the Discord group at all. I thought I would get an invite upon joining the MHCP but haven't heard anything. Also, im really looking to group up with some creators and bring our ideas to life. I have had many sleepless nights trying to get to grips with the scrypt, which is all completely new to me. My two school age sisters 18 years younger than me understand it better than I do haha.Iv watched some great tutorials so I am gradually getting the hang of it though. Im a life long graphic designer & retired graffiti artist when my children came along. But I still love creating day in day out. im determined on bringing my ideas to life! I just thought if there were people out there in a situation, it would be great if we could all work together, help one another and get things going a lot faster. Im happy to help any way I can. Thanks everyone Conor
When you have a grabbable item such as a weapon, how would I use codeblock scripting to assign the action? The only key on desktop that works with the item automatically is the X for dropping the item and E to pick it up. What about swinging the bat, or if its a gun shooting it? Or is this something you can only do in typescript?X_Elias_X
Hello creators! Analytics can provide valuable insights into player behavior and world performance. We want to know how you've implemented analytics in your worlds and what data you find most useful. What analytics tools have you used, and how have they helped you? Feel free to mention resources we provide if they’ve been helpful to you, like the Chop ‘n’ Pop analytics tutorial. What data do you prioritize gathering, and why? Share your strategies for data-driven design. What challenges have you faced with analytics, and how did you address them? Let's discuss solutions. We look forward to hearing your feedback.

How does one create a moving platform that can transport all users and NPCs on it?
I apologize that this is not the right forum but my hands are shaking. I have been cloned and I never even knew it. They had me blocked and I couldn't see them. They are using my real life picture from my Facebook profile and they have completely cloned my name except for one extra dot. Are there any options for me? I just don't want this person to be taking advantage of people in my name.
HI,i want to add stuff to a basket. For that i want to set the parent of an entity on runtime using Typescript. Is there any way to do so?
Hi everyone.I can't understand how the projectile launcher configured in the "Simple Shooting Mechanism" demo manages to shoot toward the center of the screen. It has no rotation, yet it's pointing downward, and its scale is extremely large. When I try to recreate that hierarchy from scratch using another grabbable object, I can't get the same result. Thanks to anyone who can help!
How can a door with a collider only be visible to players after they enter a room, while also allowing other players to enter through the same entrance? Like in Spy School when players reach the finish line.
We all use horizon.exe to spawn in music bots. With the new seat gizmo avatar pose. I just cannot seem to enter a sitting position when launched directly from windows horizon.exe control wise the mouse moves over the SEAT icon highlights but cannot left click to activate it.Any help?
let grabbleEntity = this.entity.as(hz.GrabbableEntity); grabbleEntity.setWhoCanGrab([player]); grabbleEntity.forceHold(player, hz.Handedness.Right, false); My script works fine in the editor, but when I run it on the Web or Mobile, it doesn’t enforce the hold. Is this expected behavior? I am calling this when the player first enters the world.
Can someone explain to me how to extend from single user mode to multiuser? I can't figure out how to copy console error messages so here is the screenshot
Suppose I have a 3D mesh of a button I want the user to press in mobile - how do I bypass the default control system?
Hi Creators,I am trying to do player specific UIs with bindings. I'm following this but I think I'm not understanding it correctly. https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/desktop-editor/custom-ui/playerspecific-custom-uiMy goal is each user has health. If they collect a heart they will gain +1 health and display it on their custom UI. When I am testing with my teammate. We both start of as 0 (I know, 0 doesn't make sense for health, but for testing purposes let's start at 0 😀) If bindings isn't the way to go, what could I do? If it should be bindings, does anyone know what I'm doing wrong? Example below. When I collect 2 hearts, my UI will say 2, teammate will say 0. So far so good ❤️Now my teammate collects 1 heart, my UI will say 2, teammate will say 3, NOT good 😭 teammate should say 1If I collect 1 heart, my UI will say 4, teammate will say 3. At this point the count is off for everyone. 😭It seems like it's adding on based the last val
Hello creators!I have object pooling going on for anything that requires spawning. The idea is I would spawn x amount of that item out of the player's view. When I want the object to "spawn" I would move it to the location I want . This is working for items that aren't movingHowever, when I try to apply the same logic to my enemy, my Enemy would not move to the correct spot. It seems to be conflicting with my navmesh code in my update. If I commented out my Update code, the enemy would move to the correct spot. Here is my Update function attached to my enemy onUpdate(deltaTime: number) { this.bounceTime += deltaTime; const bounceOffset = Math.sin(this.bounceTime * this.props.bounceFrequency! * 2 * Math.PI) * this.props.bounceAmplitude!; this.entity.position.set(this.entity.position.get().add(new Vec3(0, bounceOffset, 0))); const playerPosition = this.currentTarget?.position.get(); if (playerPosition) { const point = this.navmesh?.getNearestPoint(playerPositi
Can someone explain the difference among file-based-systems, deep copies, and the other things?
Hi! Trying to create worlds using Horizon AI for your Creator Challenge... I keep getting very slow generation, and lost creations - and now I am seeing these error messages. This limit is happening when I am generating less than 5 mesh items an hour. This is extremely slow and we have a deadline! Is there a way to lift account limits?
Is it possible to resize users? Make them super big or tiny to enter a doll house, for example?
Is it possible to sell an item in-world the way one would on second life?
Is there some sort of package that makes it possible to have intellisense or auto-complete for Hz scripts in VSCode?
