There're a few multiplayer games on Oculus Share that look promising, but there's nobody on any of the servers. I'd like to get something together with those interested for having a game night, set at a certain time where a large majority of us can play VR compatible multiplayer games like GalaGunOnline, Desperate Gods VR, and RiftCopter. Maybe we could start a FB page or something where we can all determine what the best times would be.
Hi, I am very interested in this area and I would like to expand my knowledge in it. Any experts here have any recommendation for me? Anywhere in the world, which are some good schools and academy that provide a deep education in virtual reality? Any recommendation is much appreciated. Thank you very much.

Are there any females on board this train, or is VR just one big sausage fest?
It's been single digit temps for almost two weeks straight. I'm freezing my avatar off over here! :(

Hello, I would appreciate any help. I unable to find people talking about converting 2D to 3D1- I’m looking to buy one or two different 2D to 3D Video Converter --HDMI Media Processor.2- I have a TV Box Verizon Motorola HD DVR QIP 721613- I have recently asked them about this but I haven’t heard back from them yet.4- I believe because it has a high resolution per eye and this would be a very good product to do it. I believe it could be good quality product for the dollar if I could find the proper converter to do it. 5- I need a proper 2D to 3D Video Converter HDMI Media Processor6- I don’t want this for gaming but for computer with a Cycleops Virtual Training Programs, it’s for people who want to work indoors on a cycle with virtual reality courses.7- Do you know of any good converter for 2D to 3D for both situations?Truth knowledge and love is needed for all, Michael

Would only be able to, at least try to, do one of these.. "once in a lifetime events", so if you had to choose, which would it be?For the curious:Adventure Cycling's TransAm Route (Road Bike)Adventure Cycling's Great Divide Route (Mountain Bike)The Pacific Crest Trail HikeI wonder if I could get a "VR Video" sponsor for it.. go out, do the trip, and record stuff using a "VR camera" 8-)
I cant seem to record footage when in Direct mode, only in extended mode.Is this an ongoing problem or am I doing something wrong.I'm using Fraps.Any help would be appreciated as I can only run some games in Direct mode.
Grab yourself a cuppa, and listen to Jim explaining Quantum stuff with simple words.http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04tr9x9/the-secrets-of-quantum-physics-1-einsteins-nightmarehttp://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/b04v85cj/the-secrets-of-quantum-physics-2-let-there-be-lifeCool! (use a VPN if outside the UK, like Hola Chrome extensions (?)).
For some reason I'm not able to download Liveview Rift off of the Share Center. Is there anyway someone could post an alternate download link for me to use?
Put your computer specs below, like motherboard, processor, RAM, graphics card, and storage.
I think the right thing to inform you about a television program in Spain to publicized the DK2, changing the device name, the name of the creator and especially called augmented reality glasses. That is why I inform you in case you want to take legal action against the broadcaster. It is a shame to report something no idea what they are talking. The program can see it on youtube:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ILXDsmQbinA&feature=youtu.beProgram name El Hormiguero, Antena 3 television. If we want the virtual reality reach all households, the least you can do is denounce this kind of erroneous information, not to mislead the consumer. Finally if you allow me, I advise you to contact the program in question to make a public rectification. Since they have advertised the company that made them DK2 and not the true creators.Greetings from Spain and forgive my English, I use google translator.
Hey Guys i want to share with you that youtube channel of an amazing electronic teacher. He has a lot of video an his explanations are absolutely wonderful.
Check this out...http://io9.com/this-is-a-praying-mantis-wearing-3d-glasses-discuss-1570041575I thought this was an interesting use for "3D glasses", even if it's a simple form of it.
Or is it? My g-friend thinks so. What do you think?
Adding forests and animals to Ambient Flight but was having a difficult time checking the Ai from the falcons perspective and thought it would be fun to drop one of the wild horse prefabs onto an OVRPlayerController :)So much fun with the Bonanza theme in the background lol
I currently wear glasses :geek: , but I read in the FAQ " To accommodate as many glasses as possible, the second developer kit comes with 2 removable sets of lenses. Each pair has a different depth that place the lenses closer or farther from the users face. In addition, the screen itself can be moved closer and farther away." That means that I can use the rift without wearing glasses? I've searched the forums and all threads about glasses they said that they've tried to wear it with glasses, and no one mentions this. If somebody could tell me being 100% sure, it would be much appreciated.
OK Moore's Law is nearing it's physical limitations. You can only make working transistors on silicon down to about 5nm, after that strange quantum effects kick in and the super thin wires heat up and burn out or don't last as long. And Moore's Law has provided us with smaller, faster, cheaper, better chips every 1-2 years.Note the GPU guys seems to be hovering about 28nm size, and Intel has led the way down to 22nm and is pushing for 16,10 and even predicts 7nm high end chips by 2018.And to get around these limitations already memory is being stacked up at higher die sizes so that layers of transistors take up less space. Nvidia, AMD and Intel are planning on bringing out chips with the memory stacked onto the logic. So we still have a bit of room left in Moore's Law but it's getting cramped down there. My point is we need about 8k+ to present someone with a high enough resolution image to immerse them in something that matches reality. Current high end GPU's and CPU's struggle to dri

Now we all like the oculus rift but thats more so the best competitor. If there was something called not rift and was 100 times better, we'd love it more. I've seen a lot of people (myself included) that wants to get in on this market/experience. So, what is there to get into? This is a VERY large field, saying I want to be in VR, by the time you can, will be like saying I want to be in movie making. I want to personally be a game designer and i have no illusions going into it but here are the questions:What would you like to take part in for VR, if at all?How can you go about doing so, ie, what skills are needed? And how did you figure this out?To me that last question is important because i want to go into this field, check, willing to take time and energy to get skills, check but I have no idea what I really want to do. I want something of course that pays well and I enjoy but with so many options, I'm unsure. Direction is hard to find and I thought this discussion could be fun.
