Hey Everyone,

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v76 started to roll out today for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v76:

1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v76" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v76 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately. Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

"If you were on an earlier version of V76, and it was working before this latest update, you should be able to download the earlier version of V76 firmware (let me know if you need help finding it) and that may solve your issue."

That would be great, as it stands now my Quest 3 is unusable with Unreal PIE. I haven't tried a steam VR game since the update, but I assume I can't use it any more.

Quest Pro Downstream in V76 is still broken! the screenshot shows the a comparison between my quest pro (left) and my quest 3 (right) [the downloadspeed was similar before between quest pro and 3 on the same router wifi 7 router with 160mhz channelbandwidth]

Meta, common please, people bought this thing for a lot of money at the start(1800€) with high hopes. a bit later it was quickly abandoned  because it moved not many units and was quickly replaced by quest 3 (that got newer soc) and now updates breaks quest pros wifi-downloadstream, a thing where quest pro could still be usefull (pcvr streaming) .....
virtual desktop is your 6th best selling app of all time, right? nobody was interested in testing it with higher bandwidth settings?! .... so sad to see 😕

I don't particularly know if this is a PTC-exclusive issue, but as I am on the PTC and want to help plug these issues, I think its appropriate to post it here. My depth sensor (the IR line projector) on my Quest 3 doesn't turn on at all, not during a room scan, nor guardian creation.

If Meta intentionally did this to put the 3 inline with the 3S, or to help with battery life, I don't know. I've also read online about people with the 3S also experiencing issues with their IR floodlights since the public release of v72 around..? but as I do not have that specific device it might be best for someone else with the actual device to properly discuss it.

This is a small issue, but it has affected scanning quality a fair chunk, during guardian set-up, the scanning seems less reliable as it takes a bit longer to find the correct floor level, along with the room scan having a harder time figuring out the right depth for walls in low-light environments, I have recorded a video showcasing the issue I'm currently experiencing.

For those wondering if it's simply just my camera not properly capturing it, here is a photo I took with the depth sensor clearly on and working.

Very strange last night my quest 3 updated to v76.1024 and changed normally to 71% then the orange charge light flashes but charging continues at a slower rate to about 80% then charging reverts to normal speed to 100% as usual and selfie camera seems to have disappeared again.

Another update (April 23) and still broken hand tracking in Quest 3 if you enable Link, and still broken USB3 connectivity with PC when Quest 3 is powered off.

I've gotten two updates with the EPROM icon since v76.1026 was announced but still remain at v76.1024.

My Occulus App on my PC is still on v74.

    Edit:

After posting this the Oculus app on my PC updated - but it is still at version 74.
