Hey Everyone,

The Public Test Channel (PTC) for Quest v77 started to roll out today for Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest Pro, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest 3S.

If you're seeing an issue or bug after updating to PTC v77:

1) For issues: Go to our Get Help board and search for any existing thread on the issue, if you don't find one, make a new thread. Please add the tag "PTC v77" to the thread and in the title. This way everyone can look for just PTC v77 issues too.

2) For bugs: If you come across a bug, please post each one you spot in its own thread, to keep track of individual issues separately. Please make sure to also send in bug reports along with posting on the forums if you notice anything going wrong.

Share your impressions in the comments below and let us know if you see any issues.

We know it's tough when you run into a problem on a PTC build and want to thank you all again for testing out PTC and sharing your feedback! This feedback is extremely helpful to our engineering teams. We appreciate your interest and persistence in testing out the core functionality of software as we develop!

i have navigator already too on quest 3 and quest pro.

i think it is a good start, not perfect but has potential. currently the navigator feels very different compared to the rest in terms of visiual design, so there is a lot of work left but this can be done late.

for quest pro (xr2+ gen1 hmd) it is probably a bit to heavy, i get less than 90frames/s in the homeenvironment if the navigator is open. (some homeenvironments are more heavy on need ressources than other and i use one that needs less ressources).

After updating to v77.1026, my Quest 3S has become almost unusable. I consistently lose tracking, and even navigating past the home menu is a struggle. If I open the Oculus menu while in my app, the system freezes—I can't get back into the game, and the headset visibly lags trying to track my movements.

people have many apps and websites etc.

why does meta artifically restricts again how many apps can be pinned by such a small number (8 to 10 minus the store (you cannot unpin the store), so 7 to 9 ....).

for example bytedance (pico) does not do this, you can pin much more apps on pico 4 ultra, they give you a much larger number.

also you cannot pin "unknow sources" apps like spotify oder quest games optimizer etc.... thats also uncomfortable .....

hatsuratsu I agree. Apps from unknown sources not integrating with the rest of the Horizon OS does not make for a good experience when users sideload normal Android apps to use alongside immersive applications. I have Discord sideloaded and it's a dance of digging through the unknown sources tab to find it and send messages to people. I can't seem to get notifications from Discord in Quest either, and I don't think it'd matter much anyway because I'm not sure if Horizon's notification UIs support conversation notifications like on standard Android.

I don't know which specific update it was from borkdate central, but I'm unable to access the headset settings in the mobile app. None of my 3 headsets, 2xQ2 and 1xQ3 will connect to the mobile app and headset settings are greyed out. I can still see the battery usage in the app and can cast to the app.

The most recent V77 update that included the new UI has bogged the headset down so much that I can't stream in Godlike resolution in Virtual Desktop anymore.  The audio stutters and the controller tracking constantly gets stuck.  Meta continues to go backwards with PCVR fixes, and the Wi-Fi speed problem is still present 10 weeks after it was first introduced into V76 PTC.

We don't want any of this stuff. We're tired of performance getting worse with every update. You need to change your philosophy and make the OS incredibly light so that applications can run completely unobstructed by it.
