Hi All,I have a question about Player Avatars as ImageSources. When putting an image in a Custom UI, I need to specify a source via ImageSource. Image: https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/desktop-editor/custom-ui/api-reference-for-custom-ui#image ImageSource: https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/reference/2.0.0/ui_imagesourceIs there a way to get a Texture Asset for a Player's avatar? I want to show a picture of each avatar that is playing a game on a Custom UI.Thanks!
To avoid wasting time can someone confirm that this model will import properly into HZW?
Hi Creators!I am using Desktop Editor and Typescript.I am trying to spawn enemies, when the enemies spawn they will move around and look for the player, enemies can also get destroyed by bullets. The enemy is a 3D model in my assets. I can spawn the 3D model. I can also make the enemy move IF the enemy is already in the hierarchy and I attached a move/collision scripts I created. What I can't figure out is how do I attach the move script to the ENEMY ASSET (Similar to attaching scripts to a prefab in Unity). So that when the enemy is spawned, it starts moving? There is no script option unless I drag the enemy asset to the hierarchy, but then that means I'm editing a copy and not the original asset. Thanks!
I am in the MHCP and I understand from my reading that bonuses depend largely on the number of people visiting my world and their return visits. I also understand that Meta will promote popular worlds to make them more popular. However, this introduces a chicken and egg problem does it not? As an indie developer I don't have a budget to market my world and so how can I reach a level that would get Meta to notice my world and promote it, thus giving me bonuses that would allow me to further develop my world and so make it more popular, etc.?Any advice?
I'm getting a message "Your Horizon profile doesn’t have payout accounts set up.".This is odd because I only have one Meta Horizon profile so far as I know and I get regular payments from Meta for my Virtual Starship app in the Meta Horizon app store. In any case, the message does not say *where* I can set up a payout account.Any advice?

Hey everyone! I know how to rotate a single object using codeblocks, but I need a little help. I am looking to rotate one object around another. How do I do that? I’ve tried spin in local space and son relative to an object but it didn’t work. Was I using it wrong? Any help is appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Hi Guys,I think I could really use a mentor. I am very much a beginner at Blender, 3D Modeling, Textures, Materials, etc and I feel like many of the tutorials or workshops I have looked at make some assumptions that I know what I am doing. I do NOT... LoL!Obviously I am learning, but I keep hitting the same roadblocks. Admittedly, I am attempting to get started using prefabricated assets, Stuff from Sketchy, Sketchfab, Unity Store, BlenderKit, etc. because I just dont know how to model, apply textures, bake, any of that... I've been able to import some things that were relatively straightforward, but I am using tools to help (Like SimpleBake for example) but the UV maps are terrible and the textures are so poor once brought into horizon worlds... It's very frustratingAnd then theres the issue of oh hey yay I have a texture map for Base Color, Roughness, Metallic, Normals, Emissions, Ambient Occlusion, yada yada yada, but somehow I am supposed to combine all those into a
Hello, here is the TextGizmo documentation. 1) I'm struggling with this localizableText object that must make automatic translation but nothing is working. export declare class TextGizmo extends Entity { /** * Creates a human-readable representation of the entity. * @returns A string representation of the `TextGizmo`. */ toString(): string; /** * The content to display in the text label. * * @remarks * If the content was previously set with `localizableText`, the getter * of this property will return the localized string in the language of the * local player. Do not use the returned text in attributes shared with other * players. Other players might use differnet languages, and only the * `LocalizableText` object is
Hi Creators!Citedal in horizon worlds here saves user progress. It will know how many levels I have completed. How are they doing that? Is it with persistent data? Or are there other ways to save level progression? If it is persistent data, where can I find documentation on how to make persistent data in desktop editor with typescript?I know how to create persistent variables with codeblocks but not in the desktop editor https://developers.meta.com/horizon-worlds/learn/documentation/vr-creation/scripting/use-persistent-variables/Citedal: https://horizon.meta.com/world/279976781332952/?locale=en_USThanks!
Hi Friends. I have VS Code installed and the Desktop Editor has automatically recognized it. However, when I try to open up a script from the Desktop Editor, I receive an error (see attached). I am unable to find the exact file path on where to locate the VS Code. Anyone can help with this.
If I'm already on boarding MHCP, do I need to apply every month or it's auto renewal?

Hello!I'm editing a script in which my UI buttons should send an event with parameter to a target object containing a codeblock script. Everything is setup and will print to the debug log but I'm having an issue constructing the send event code:type GenericDialogProps = {} function pickoption0(this: any): void { console.log("option1"); this.sendCodeBlockEvent(this.props.target, new CodeBlockEvent<[index: number]>('GetOption',[PropTypes.Number]), "0") } function pickoption1(): void { console.log("option1"); } function pickoption2(): void { console.log("option2"); } function pickoption3(): void { console.log("option3"); } function pickoption4(): void { console.log("option4"); } class UItemplate extends UIComponent<GenericDialogProps> { static propsDefinition = { target: {type: PropTypes.Entity}, index: {type: PropTypes.Number}, I receive the error:Error Handling Event:TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'sendCodeBlockEvent
Is there some trick to changing the content of a TextGizmo at runtime? I call text.set with a string and it doesn't update. If I print the contents after set with text.get it returns "..." which isn't the default contents that are on the textgizmo in scene. How do you update these?
I find the Horizon Worlds HUD example absurdly complicated. Anyone have a simple example of a mobile friendly HUD in TypeScript?
All relevant APIs have been enabled and I still don't have the option to turn navigation locomotion on. I was trying to follow a video that Vidyuu posted about getting an NPC to chase the player when they enter the world. (2nd screenshot) When he clicks on his NPC, he gets the option to turn his on, but I don't. Is this feature no longer needed?

I want to make an asynchronous mobile/VR game like Kaiju City Showdown. So I need to replace default Meta avatars with custom in-game avatars. Unfortunately I have not been able to find any documentation about doing this. Please point me in the right direction. Thanks!
several small comment updates notably one on how to use Player.rootRotation

I used to refer to AI to help me build my codeblock scripts and it would get me within 85-90% of completion with me doing minor things to make it work, however, with the influx of Typescript resources, none of my AI sources give me what I need in codeblocks anymore, now it is all in typescript - which I do not know at all, and do not have the proper javascript background to even begin to understand it. With that being said, does anyone have a good old fashion codeblock script for a HUD health bar that updates when the player is injured and healed?
Where can I find an easy to scroll and read (and play) copy of the AUDIO files in the DeskTop Editor? The way it is now is very cumbersome to scroll through and play individual files.Surely, these Almost 300 are listed somewhere I can reach in a browser.Thank you in advance.
Hello,I'm working on a Quiz Television World with nice gameplay and great potential: questions and translation generate by AI, so world players can play together. And it's just the main idea, the next step will be amazing! ^^Would someone be interested to work on the set design?
I've created a keyboard that types a word using a custom UI. Now I want to use the submit button to send that word to be displayed on a text gizmo. I just can't figure it out. I can't get AI to get it done but I'll keep trying. Is anyone available to show me how. I'm sure it is an easy thing for an experienced scripter.
