My brand new Meta Quest 3S, which I received as a gift, is not turning on. I haven’t used it even once. I tried charging it for 2 hours using the original Meta cable and adapter, but it doesn’t show any charging indicator light. I also attempted the suggested troubleshooting steps, such as holding the power button for 30 seconds and pressing both the power and volume down buttons, but nothing has worked so far.
Lately, when I try to watch a VR video on my Quest 2, the playback keeps glitching. Varous sections of the screen go black in rapid fire succession. It's almost as if there is a loose wire or something. But I don't have this problem when playing games, only video. It is really jarring and affects the whole screen, particularly on the left side. Has anyone else had this problem and been able to fix it?I don't use my headset very often, so I have no interest in buying a newer version.
Hello, I have try so many time these last months to connect to Quest PC App (I have Oculus 2), but I get the error that the email or password are wrong. Hi all,We need the MSDS/SDS (Material Safety Data Sheet) for Oculus Meta Quest 3 for logistics/import compliance. Has anyone successfully obtained this document from Meta before?- Which channel did you use (support ticket, enterprise support, email, etc.)?- Did the document include battery/hazardous materials details?- Any reference number or contact you can share? Thanks in advance!
Since the navigator ui was introduced I liked it a lot. I used it while on the PTC and was 100% relived that i didn't have to have the ugly grey bar with limited slots for apps i actually use just hanging there all the time. Then an update (which was more a downgrade) removed it and brought the old universal menu back which sucked. Then i hear the navigator is replacing the universal menu permanently - Awesome! except its been several months and 3 version updates since then and my quest is STILL using the ugly menu that is useless to me because i cant put more than one app i actually use on it and its just an eye sore when i using 2d apps. WHY? i get your goofy rollout process but its been months and months and updates keep coming but somehow not updating the UI? theres not even an option to choose? what is this bs?
I woke up and heard my quest 3 just shooting out air in like an off and on pattern every 2 or 3 seconds and I tried to put it on, unresponsive from the screen, I tried to hold the power button which actually worked except when I even clicked it down again the blowing immediately resumed with a sudden gray flash of the color that the screen makes to mimic black, then it would turn off the screen and continue blowing, when I plug it in with a charger that works with other devices the power port refuses to display a color or even a sound to show that its charging.
Hi, I have really enjoyed my Quest 3 so far, but it has started not charging when I plug it in, and turns itself off after saying 90% battery, then suddenly 0%. Is there anyone who knows how to fix this
Hi all, I set up my sons account but I used my old email address so I set up a new profile using my new email. When I now turn it on I can’t get past a screen with the controllers spinning around, I’ve done a factory reset but can’t get past the controller screen

I’ve been having issues with my left controller joystick. It won’t move correctly for a seemingly random amount of time, then after that it works perfectly fine. The problem is that the headset won’t interpret the joystick movements correctly, so for example if I push it to move forward, it may move only slightly forward or not at all. The time that these issues has varied incredibly, from only one day, to many months with the issue. It was endurable previously because the issue only arose for directions like left, right and backward. But now it’s not understanding forward movement. I’ve tried replacing the battery, and factory resetting the controller multiple times, but the only thing that ever works is just waiting for it to fix itself. Is there any way of actually fixing that isn’t just buy a new controller?
Currently getting this message in 2 different areas - When trying to view all of my past referrals, and when accessing my Quest Achievements (Now that I own games with a cumulative total of 10,000 Achievements). Any way to increase the data request size?
I’m experiencing a critical issue with my Meta Quest 3S after installing an official system update. The device is now stuck in a boot loop and cannot start normally. I attempted to perform a factory reset through the boot menu, but it fails with an error. Currently, I only have access to the boot menu, and no other recovery options seem to work. Here is a summary of the issue:- Boot loop after official update- Factory reset fails with an error- Only boot menu is accessibleReinstall attempts did not resolve the issueI can provide photos or additional details if needed.Thank you.
We need a way to restore the old UI. This new UI is flat out terrible.
I have had my Quest 3 for 3 weeks and a few things.I loaded Virtual Desktop in my Meta App, when I launch it to use it for Star Citizen, my native resolution drops on both of my monitors. from 3840X2160 to 2560X1600 and then on my 2nd monitor 2715X1527 to 1680X1050. How can I make this stop?2nd Issue is I power off the quest 3, have it attached to an official Meta Quest Link cable on USB-c but it will not charge. Nothing will charge it and it just turns itself back on and runs out and will not charge. I can get it to charge on a wall adaptor.I have pressed and held the power and volume button and gotten to the menu and done shutdown, but it still will not charge. I see the yellow light come on, but it is not charging. And i have held the power button for 3+ seconds and still not charging.Help on these 2 issues
Hey everyone, and hopefully Meta Support,I just bought a Quest 3 from a third-party seller who claimed it was "brand new and factory-sealed." However, when I opened the box and checked the controllers, I found Chinese "NANFU" AA batteries inside (see attached picture).I contacted the seller, and they claimed: "Meta officially uses NANFU batteries in some Quest 3 batches." I highly doubt this. So, I have a quick question for Meta Support:Has Meta EVER shipped the Quest 3 with "NANFU" brand batteries straight from the factory?I would really appreciate a quick confirmation so I know how to handle this with the seller. Thanks!
The portal you see at Meta Horizon Central shows something called "Go" at its bottom, it supposed to transfer me to another virtual world when I press this, but this isn't work, I need to know why!
I've ran into a problem last year (2025) and idk what month it was I believe it was late August, and basically I was up for a long time that night playing Contractors Shodown Exfilzone and everything was running smooth as butter, crystal clear gameplay, graphics and an overall great performance. The day after, I woke up and did my own thing for a bit and noticed my headset was not charging right because there was no charging light, checked the cable All good, but when I turned the headset on it showed the regular loading screen, THENNN I saw absolutely nothing. Just grey, like the headset was definitely still on, I heard the booting noise beforehand and I could hear the fans on the just blank screen. So I though "i'll just leave it till the evening" Then the evening hits, I'm ready to play yet it still won't run, doing the same thing over and over. So I tried searching and none of what I found work, so I put it up on display and its been sitting on display for almost a whole year. Fast
Hello,My Meta Quest 3S is completely stuck in bootloader/fastboot mode after switching the active slot.Details:The device was running fine on slot B.In the reboot menu there was a button to change slot, I switched to slot A.After switching, the system no longer boots. The slot change button disappeared from the reboot menu. Now every option in bootloader (Boot device, Recovery, Reboot) just reloads bootloader again I cannot boot into system or recovery at all.Fastboot info:current-slot: aslot-unbootable:a:yesslot-unbootable:b:noBootloader locked (unlocked:no)fastboot --set-active=b FAILED (remote: 'Operation Not Permitted')So I am stuck in a bootloop and cannot switch back to slot B or boot into recovery.Could you please help me either force switch to slot B or provide a recovery image/software repair?
I have 2 Quest 2's and one updated to 79.1032 but the other one is still at 79.1028. I've done everything suggested (leave it powered on and connected to Wi-Fi, on a flat surface and don't block internal sensor), but it's been a week and no update. Is there something else I should be doing?
I downloaded the Meta Horizon Link update, and afterward, my third-party games disappeared. When I try to add them, I get the error "An unexpected error has occurred. Please try again later. (OVR53744741)No path supplied (1971039)"
Okay so the title kind of sums it, but I have used a quest 2 for about 6-ish years. Well my little sibling gave me his headset (the Quest 3S) to play on and mess with well I would usually play the headsets connected to a pc via Virtual Desktop. So I am having an issue with the sleep mode on the headset. I changed it to 15 minutes so when I go to do something for a couple minutes it won't shut off while I am afk. Well the problem is, it still goes to sleep after a minute of the headset being inactive. And there isn't a proximity sensor from what I have noticed so is there a way to fix the timer so I don't have to keep refixing my stuff for my games just because the headset turns off?
I can update the store app or the steamlink app in one second, but when I'm downloading a game or other app, it has only ~50kb/s, restart the quest 3 or pc, or close to the router, or start download from horizon link mobile app are no use
This is honestly unacceptable. My Meta Quest 2 has been completely bricked by your latest update. Before the update, it worked perfectly. After the update, it is now a useless piece of hardware.Let’s be clear! this was not caused by misuse, damage, or anything on my end. This was caused by software YOU pushed to the device.I’ve gone through every troubleshooting step possible: factory reset, reboot, charging checks — nothing works. The device is dead because of your update. What makes this worse is that it’s now conveniently “out of warranty,” yet the failure is directly tied to your software. That’s not acceptable. Customers should not be left with a bricked device because of a forced update they had no control over.I’m also not the only one? there are multiple reports of the same issue happening to other users after this update. That points to a wider problem that Meta needs to take responsibility for.Right now, I’m stuck with a device that your update has destroyed, and support has be
