I was playing like normal, and turned my headset off for a bit. I went back on a few hours later and it was stuck on a black screen with the text in the title. I did a factory reset and now it’s just a grey screen. I see and hear the oculus logo when I start it, and I can see my volume when I adjust it. My controllers are also constantly doing a pulse vibration, trying to pair to my headset if I had to guess. I’ve stripped the thing down and scrubbed it with a clean, dry microfiber, as well as swapped the controller batteries several times. I can’t afford to buy another $500 piece of junk and I don’t have a warranty as it was off marketplace. Any help is appreciated.
Not loading up. I held the power button for 30 it powers off and back on , nothing after the logo. Tried holding both buttons reboot still continues to do the same.
My quest 2 has been completely dead for 1-2 years and i finally have decided to try again. I have tried changing the cable to completely resetting it and it will not charge. I have tried with the charger it came with and a newer one. Yesterday, I got it to show up to the login screen but it died less than a minute after charging it for 2 hours. When i turn it on it just shows the dead battery icon. I think the battery needs replaced but i figured to come here as a last resort.
We have the Meta Quest 3S, It says Android Recovery"can't load android system your data may be corrupt. If you continue to get this message to Factory data reset and erase all data stored on this device. Somehow it is not backed up and we have a lot of data apps and money invested that will be lost. Is there a solution ? Thank you
I have a machine which is offline per company policy. Whenever I start my Meta Quest Link app, it takes ages (~5 minutes) to load. On other PCs, which are online, it only takes a few seconds to load.Any ideas what causes this? Are these timeouts which cause those extreme load times? Could we change any firewall rules (except for full internet access) to prevent this from happening?
I have been experiencing issues with horizon worlds crashing my headsets....I regularly use a Quest 3 but have also had the issue on the quest pro, i have tried resetting the headset (factory reset) and also tried multiple profiles.. but still happens..Back story......I am new (ish) to building and find it easier via the headset rather than desktop.. but in the last week i am having issues whereas the fps will drop to almost non existent (at random interval's) to the point the Worlds app crashes... I am also getting an error about using too much memory (even in empty worlds.. This isn't just one world either it happens in all worlds.. It isn't as bad in a published lobby but do occasionally have "lag" issues Anyone else experiencing issues or have a cure??
Age restrictions. I am over the age of 18. For some reason meta will not let me join "Meta World Hardy Spades" it's showing an error message of "You can't visit this worldIt's rated ages 18+, so you won't be able to visit until you turn 18." I contacted meta and tried to reapply my birth date. It's still not working. Also the meta help is showing an error. The only way I could contact them is through web browser
I had Duo Mobile set up for my meta account and I had to factory reset my phone now I'm signed out of that so I can't log into my meta account is there any way to fix this? Spent so much money on my account 😭
Hello, everyone! I've noticed that when I smile with my Meta Quest 3S, the headset lifts up. Does this happen to you too? Are you sure it won't break? Is this normal? If so, how can I smile without this happening with my Meta Quest 3S?
I'm thinking about getting v83 PTC. Can anyone tell me any v83 PTC bugs? I've never done a PTC update by the way.
I recently purchased a usb C gooseneck microphone to plug straight into my Quest Pro (v81). It works and sounds great on native quest apps and recordings, but as soon as I use any streaming software (AirLink, Virtual Desktop, or Steam Link), it does not work. On AirLink and Virtual Desktop, I will get extremely loud clicking that overlaps the audio. Sometimes Virtual Desktop will straight up crash. And again, it works perfectly fine in recordings on the Quest and when testing the microphone on social apps. As a control, I plugged my Antlion modmic straight into the Quest Pro and discovered that it worked with no issues. So now I am confused as to what makes this new microphone not work with AirLink but work perfect on native apps. I've also factory reset the headset and reinstalled Virtual Desktop and Oculus Link on the PC side and that yielded no results.Waveform of the external mic through AirLink where you can see the ear-blasting clicksWaveform of the external mic from VRChat
Hey supporters, after upgrading to a new fast wifi-router I've tried to connect to my PC by air link. Everything went fine and the wireless connection is fast and stable. But while using air link it is not possible to use an external battery since the USB-port is disabled. While using the Quest standalone the external battery works fine, so I cannot understand why it is not allowed to use it for charing when air link is activated. For me, it semms to be a bug and neither a feature. I didn't find any option to disable the deactivation of the USB-port. If there is such an option, maybe one can tell me where it can be found. Otherwise, I would like to understand why the USB-port is deactivated when using air link. Using the external battery often doubles the time you can use the Quest until charging is necessary. Hi there,I scanned my 1+1 70m2 home and it took around 2 hours. I was very careful and slow to capture better. Even had to carry powerbank with me :) But I can't upload my scanning. I am using the experimental Screen Reader for Quest, because I am totally blind. While in immersive home, if I press the menu button on my left controller nothing happens, so I currently cannot edit the virtual environment in my home. I can't even access contextual menus for, for example: apps in the library, because the menu button does not respond when the Screen Reader is turned on. When I open a window, I can successfully close it by getting to the control bar, pressing the A button to focus in, move the thumbstick upwards, and pressing the trigger on "Close. I can even view the "Ancore" button to pin the window in a certain position in the space, but I have no idea where the window is, and I cannot reach for the drag handle to move it freely in the space. Since I want to ancore my windows in the different rooms, is walking to the position I want the window to be open, open the window and ancoring it remaining still a workaround? Do the windows open in front of me anytime

Hi everyone,I’ve been stuck for days trying to install the Meta Quest PC app.Whenever I run OculusSetup.exe (v1.103.0.0) for Meta Quest 3, as administrator, it runs for about a second, creates a log file, and then crashes instantly, no window, no error message, nothing.I’m on Windows 11 Pro (build 26100) and everything else on the system works fine.⚠️ The problemFrom what I can see, the installer starts normally, it initializes analytics, checks antivirus, downloads the manifest, and then just stops. No download begins, no UI ever appears. The crash dump and Windows Event Viewer always show the same thing:Application Error 1000: Faulting application name: OculusSetup.exe Exception code: 0xc0000005 Faulting module name: unknown .NET Runtime Error 1026: Exception Info: System.AccessViolationExceptionAnd in WinDbg:INVALID_POINTER_READ_c0000005_PresentationFramework.dll!System.Windows.StaticResourceExtension.FindResourceInEnvironment Process Uptime: 0 days 0:00:01.000So the setup is crashin

I have a brand new quest 3 headset, I switched it on and followed the setup steps entered my wi-fi and it connected fine then it proceeded to update it was approx. 30 seconds then it appeared to shut down and then restart and repeated. This loop continues. I then tried the link cable opened the meta horizon link app, selected my device it displayed as active and connected then 30 seconds it disconnected and keeps repeating. I have done several factory resets to no avail. I have tried the sideload option again to no avail...Good link cable..Plugged into USB 3.2 port on my PC (tried Several ports)..Updated quest software on the PC (Rebooted)I can see this is a common problem amongst the community as this is a brand new headset I cannot get past the update and I don't know what else to try, the headset wont stay on log enough to update. Any help would be truly appreciated

Hi,Just purchased a Meta Quest 3 from a third party seller, new condition, after selling my Quest 2 on. On completing the set up, account link and tutorials, it asks you to open the Universal Menu. In my case this booted up the Store, with no bottom menu to select. On closing the Store page it immediately reopens.I have attempted this from scratch three times after two factory resets, and the same result.
Had my meta quest 3 for a few days been playing primarily asgard's wrath 2. I had noticed on occasion that I would see these random lines of white pixels flickering on loading screens and occasionally in dark scenes.. It didn't seem to do it that much.. Welp.. Downloaded Into the Radius today and in dark parts of the game it is constant white flicking pixels.. I've noticed others are having this issue. And I saw where and admin said others need to make their own threads about this.. I'm affected by it too! It sucks. Really enjoying vr.. But this is totally immersion breaking and needs to be fixed.. I'm debating sending back my headset.. Is this really thay wide spread of an issue??
I am trying to install the Horizon Worlds Desktop Editor on a Windows 10 PC. I have tried with Worlds-Desktop-Editor-v236.0.0.5.304.msi & Worlds-Desktop-Editor-v239.0.0.7.306.msi with an error stating that "Worlds Desktop Editor is not supported in this version of Windows. Please upgrade to Windows 10".I have tried chat support directly with Meta (waste of time) where they told me to enroll in the Public Test Channel (which I did) and someone would be in touch with another version to install. They never got back to me.I emailed tech support but after a week no response. I have Googled for a solution for this issue and have come up with nothing. Has anyone had this similar issue or have solution so I can get this installed on my Windows 10 Professional PC?
