Hello,I have just purchased a Quest 3, and am attempting to get it running on my PC via the Meta Quest Link app. When I open the app it immediately tells me "Your computer doesn't meet the updated minimum specifications, which can lead to a poor experience in VR. Learn More". If I follow the link to read about the minimum/recommended requirements I see that I definitely meet all the requirements, and my drivers are up to date. (although this shows the requirements for the Rift and Rift S, which I guess is a little out dated now?) Tried repairing the Quest Link App, restarting, all the automatically suggested solutions. It also gives me a really hard time connecting (either with the link cable or the airlink). Half the time it freezes on the loading screen, and 1/3rd of the time it opens in the Quest 3 then immediately disconnects. i7-13700K, 32 GB DDR5 Ram, RTX 4070, 2 TB SSD, Windows 11 home, GeForce Game Ready Driver 576.52. Hi, I wanted to summarise the challenges I’ve faced with the child account setup for my son, specifically regarding the date of birth (DOB) requirement and the inability to screen share from a child account. Initially, I set my son’s account as the main one because screen sharing didn’t work on secondary accounts. However, this required setting it up as an adult account, which meant no parental controls were available. Today, I updated the DOB when I was emailed and prompted to do so before February for my son’s account but encountered multiple issues during the verification process. ### Key Points of Frustration: 1. **Screen Sharing Limitation:** Child accounts cannot screen share, which led to the workaround of making my son’s account an adult account. However, this defeats the purpose of parental controls. 2. **Lack of Parental Visibility:** Screen sharing is essential for parents to monitor and engage w
I cancelled my Plus account a while back, yet Meta are still taking my money. My account was closed, is closed, yet still every month the money is taken by Meta. Are they short of money? I do consider it theft if someone takes my money.
As I explained in the title, for a few weeks now my profile picture no longer appears when I turn on the glasses in the window called 'Connection' that shows the profile.
Hello, I have a quest one that's kinda new, recently I did a factory reset and tried to set it up, after I finished the set up on my phone my quest is stuck, doesn't log into my meta account, just stuck on the setup page, and I actually mean it, it's not frozen just stuck...it says "1 out of 2 updates completed, please finish the set up in the meta app" even though it's already finished, someone please tell me if there's an fix for that, because I really want to use my headset again.. I've tried everything and my hope was lost, so this is my only option. I've tried to factory reset it again multiple times and it indeed did factory reset, just after the set up in the meta phone app it's stuck there...everytime... It's kinda weird, please anyone help me!
I wanted to play my quest 3, 2 days ago, And it was empty. Pretty normal. So I charged it via my Battery Pack, like I always do. (I charge my battery pack, charge the quest with the battery pack, and then charge the battery pack again.) But the quest didn't charge at all even though the battery pack went down in charge by half. Is there any fix cause I'm getting pretty mad at the countless problems with this thing, And I'm currently trying to charge it with the official charger (which I should've done in the first place)Little wittle update on the situation, The official charger has charged it to 19% at the moment so I think it works!
The app is not showing my device when I attempt to get support for my warranty. Is there an alternate way to get help.
I had reset my Meta Quest 3 as it hasn't been connecting to my internet properly and when I did my controllers refused to start during the pairing sequence and refuse to turn on. When attempting to open a support ticket it asks me for my S/N for my device, I've tried each serial code, ranging from the one on the box, to the one on the strap and the ones inside each controller.I've tried every way provided in existing support threads on the main page however my controllers simply didn't want to function. With no other way to contact Meta for support I find myself here. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I got this a few months ago and had hung it up due to its past connectivity issues, now it's even more of an expensive paperweight than it was before.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rZT59kzPqghP79tHic4ReusqrZp-xp0k/view?usp=sharingthats the video of the problem, first time using them, i turn it on, i see the tutorial for some seconds and then black screen for some seconds and it returns constantly. I cant use controllers, just vibrating not responding, i can cast and conect from my phone i see the same than i see in the visorSteps I’ve already tried to fix it:Factory Reset multiple times → did not solve the issue.Firmware reinstallation via Meta → also did not work.Full 10-hour charge with the original charger → no effect.Covering the proximity sensor to rule out the headset thinking it’s not on my head → no change.Casting to phone → https://drive.google.com/file/d/1rZT59kzPqghP79tHic4ReusqrZp-xp0k/view?usp=sharingVerified that the volume and sound overlay works correctly → system responds, i see volume UIOther important details:The screen works in recovery/BIOS mode, so it’s not a panel issue.
My son has the meta quest 3s and he put a $60 gift card into the wrong oculus account which has only one email attached to the account. It shows on the app he has $60 but not on the meta quest. Is there a way to link the accounts so he can use the $60. They are only under one email but the profile name is different on the app to the actual oculus device. thanks for any help you can give.
I had my son as a profile on my device, although we never really used it. I deleted the profile from my device and removed it from my meta profile but it says it takes at least 30 days to process. He'd like to use the same email that I used for that profile to setup his own device. Is there any way to speed up the deletion process so that it releases the email?
Quest 3: Fifth time in two months both or one (usually left) brick. Now the headset. All of the recommended troubleshooting did not work. I only use mine for boxing. I have an attached facemask w/ gel cooling (gimmick)this always seems to happen around time a new update is available. The left controller suddenly SOS.Why would it occur every time a new update is there, and it won't download the firmware or it will get to 100% but fail. Today, it wouldn't move past 0%.If it is software/firmware, why would it happen to some, not all?if not software, what then? I used controller covers. No covers. No difference. Never dropped. Maybe they knocked headset boxing but not with force.Sweat makes no sense. I do heavy sweat but this thing is marketed for exercise. It gets wiped often and handled with care.can anyone fathom a guess why this keeps happening? Holding controllers too tight? The velocity when boxing? I'm in the angry zone now. This is so ridiculous. Meta's refurbished
All the newer games that I haven gotten, when I start them they will close and say update in progress. I have updated it many times and it still won’t work.
I have the Quest 3 and am interested in streaming my game through OBS Studio. I found instructions here: https://www.meta.com/help/quest/1160309589204876/ -- "Cast from Meta Quest Link to OBS". If I use those instructions, does the stream get sent to Meta servers somewhere? Or is it all on my local machine?I have seen other instructions for using oculus.com/casting, but I don't want to use that, don't want my stream to go to another server.
my quest 2 shows me the pairing code but on my pc it doesn't give me that pop up to type the code in. when i stop pairing it says on my pc i need to try again i am very confused help will be great.
I'm having a problem where opening Virtual Desktop changes my roomscale boundary to stationary. I don't want this.I contacted Meta Quest and Virtual Desktop, and the VD devs said that passthrough forces the boundary to change. I tried telling this to meta support, but they were unable to confirm or deny my question. So I come to this board to ask the same question. Does passthrough force roomscale boundary to switch to stationary?
I keep having this issue where the boundary changes from roomscale to stationary when I open Virtual Desktop. I asked the devs, and they said it's on Facebook's side. I've had this issue in the past, and when troubleshooting the old way they originally said, that no longer solves the issue. How the hell do I solve this issue, and why can't I get in touch with a single person regarding this issue? Facebook's site only links me back to bot Q&A
Anyone else had a complete battery fail? Meta have been absolutely useless in resolving it. Quest only 18 months old and hardly used. They offered me an option to buy a new one!! there is also no official complaints procedure. So not only do they provide faulty goods, they don’t take any responsibility for it and you cannot complain. Brilliant
My quest 3s lens are a little scratched from what seems to be my eyelashes. I already did a comunity form but this one is if anyone can help me fill out a warrenty form. When i sign in it says no devices are linked to my meta account and when i enter in the serial number for verify other ways it says that it is not a serial number. Also if any body has tips on filling out warrenty can you leave a comment
My Quest 3 was working fine until a couple of days ago and I use it almost daily. On trying to turn it on yesterday I am now stuck in with the following:I see a stack Meta Horizon OS logo for a couple of secondsI see the chip icon with arrow and a green progress bar which completesI see an animated spinning Meta Horizon OS logo for maybe 30-60 secondsThe screens go black, they are still powered on but not showing anything. It never gets any further than that.I have tried the following, none of them changes anything:Doing a hard rebootDoing a factory resetDoing a sideload of the most recent v79 update via USB, this downloads and installs fine giving no errors but the issue is still there afterwards.I see one other thread in this forum recently which sounds like the same issue but there was no responses on that one https://communityforums.atmeta.com/discussions/OtherTroubleshooting/most-recent-update-bricked-my-quest-3/1343071At this point I can't think of anything else to try other than t
Since this update, randomly and intermittently...I will try to set up a Link connection with cable, and the purple void will just come up and sit there endlessly or fail. Or the at the settings menu, the system will simply refuse to acknowledge that there is a PC connection for me to use.I end up having to reboot the headset and / or restart the Oculus service.Nothing but problems for me with this update I'm afraid resulting in much wasted time and frustration.
I use Quest 3 2 usersWhen the headset is started not by the administrator in his home environment sees through the "windows" the admin's home environment, restart or shutdown does not helpSometimes the "portal" zone becomes static - and 2nd user can pull out the windows from this block
bought a brand new quest 3 from best buy today, tried booting it up for the first time and its been stuck on the initial loading screen for an hour. tried rebooting, factory resetting, and i can't sideload a update because it technically hasn't booted for the first time. im guessing i try to return it?

Hi! Ive been removed from the ptc program, I know it's my fault for resetting but I had no choice, I was stuck on a no command screen and a screen that said "your files may be currupt, please click try again, if it keeps putting you on this screen please factory reset."
