Using MetaHorizonDesktop Early Access... trying to implement simple crouch button/animation.. am I missing something or horizon_core not fully hooked up to extend the default UI with the "Crouch button" or bind a keyboard button to it? gausroth would you know anything about this?
I am just getting back into using Events again. We used to have it years ago, but it has returned! Is anyone else using it? Ready to share some tips and tricks with others?
Tried to update new apk, it does not work. I just get theBuild Upload Error - an error has occurred for app id: xxxxxxIs anyone else also experiencing this?
I'd like to see an easy to understand sample using colocation. Not a bloated example with no documentation (that already exists) . I already know about this: https://github.com/oculus-samples/Unreal-CoLocationHS And I can compile it using oculus fork of unreal engine but it doesn't share anchors, you can't see each other and the client can't see the menu to spawn boxes, the buttons make no sense because there is no documentation (if there is then where is it?? WHAT IS PT? ), The top button to find colocation always goes red and doesn't do anything.... So it's basically useless to me. Finding any info on how to do this is next to impossible unless you get lucky. I search colocation and nothing comes up. Also the example that uses photon is way too complicated. Bloated. No documentation. No guides, no tutorials. Unless you have the guides and tutorials hidden somewhere. its a pain to find any info. This is so annoying.
I would like to be able to create folders in the Quest menu. I usually download a lot of apps and I like to know the different types that exist in the Meta store, but my menu is huge, full of apps, and it is sometimes difficult to remember what I have used and what I have not. Creating folders would help to separate the apps into different categories and would make the menu more organized.
I've been trying to get into creating content for the Quest and have been using the 1:1 casting (using OBS to capture) and just stretching and cropping the image into a 16:9. It works... okay, but I figured there had to be a better way. SO I found the Developer HUB and the CAST button there will allow a "cinematic" cast. However when I enable that I get a stuttering effect when I move. I've messed around with the refresh rates and everything but no matter what I do, it still stutters as I move. Plus, after reconnecting the cast a second time the Menu is grabbed and loses spacial tracking (just staying in front of me all the time). I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong or if this is just "how it is" with this mode. My headset is also on Firmware 72 but it's not updating to 74 yet so not sure if that fixes this or what. It doesn't seem like I can "encourage" it to update either.Anyone else know a "fix" or workaround? Hopefully Meta gets it working if that's just how
We are doing a ton of A/B testing and I really need a dependable tool to measure GPU app times. Sometimes Metrics recording generates a CSV file with data, but most of the time nothing. I can't determine why it successful sometimes. Help!
I noticed when I’m in Meta Horizon worlds there is not an option to add notes underneath individual people I follow. I recently have experienced situations where I would like to add a note on an individual’s name. For instance, this individual is very funny or this individual is rude and I should be careful what I say around him or her or this is the guy I played Domino’s with a few weeks ago And he is a DJ in real life. it would be really nice to add a feature to add notes to people‘s names since we meet so many people in the oculus Meta Horizon worlds. Let me know if this is something that you would be interested in incorporating in the game
Hello,In my job, I manage a lot of Quest 2 headset. These are in developer mode so that they can be controlled with adb commands.I'm in the process of activating the USB Link Auto-Connect option in the headset developer options. This can only be done manually and it's quite time-consuming. While dumping the headset, I found a command to change the status of Enable custom settings:adb shell am broadcast -a com.oculus.intent.action.USB_LINK_AUTO_CONNECT_STATE_CHANGEDHowever, this command only disables the advanced options. It does not activate it.Do you have an equivalent command to activate the advanced options?Thank you in advance.
I've been using to developer mode to use custom apps. But every reboot, it gets disabled. The developer settings in the system settings is still there, but USB Debugging doesn't work, and the unknown sources category is missing. When I go to the Oculus app on my phone, it shows that it got disabled. It's really annoying having to go to my phone everytime I reboot my Oculus just so that I can use developer mode. Is there a way to fix this?
I would provide a video but.. "You do not have permission to upload video."
Hola! Alguna sugerencia???
Why would you disable a feature everyone wants. Health Connect being able to connect with MOVE is essential to tracking. Hope you can fix this and not just throw your hands in the air and give up.
Hello Meta Developers Community, I'm reaching out for guidance on an unusual issue affecting our Facebook Group community ('92-96 Ford F-Series OBS Trucks'). Our founding admin, Michael Falco, has been inactive for months – leaving our community without proper management. Despite efforts through official Facebook channels (Help Center, Page messaging), we've found no direct support path for resolving inactive admin issues. Our community risks permanent limbo without intervention. Questions: 1. Is this scenario acknowledged by Meta teams?2. Exists a internal support path for community leaders like myself to resolve such issues?3. Can Meta community forums offer guidance or escalation assistance? Appreciate any feedback or direction from Meta insiders and community experts.
I’ve been thinking a lot about how incredible it would be if putting on my Quest felt like stepping into my own personalized home in virtual reality—and if friends who don’t have a headset could join in on the fun through their desktops. 1. A True “Home Base” in VR: Building on What We Already HaveRight now, when I turn on my Quest, I land in a visually appealing but mostly static menu environment. While it is functional, it doesn’t really feel like my space. I can launch Netflix or Horizon Worlds from there, but everything still feels disconnected. Imagine if, instead of a generic menu, I started in a fully customizable “house” within Horizon Worlds. From there, I could move from room to room for different activities: Living Room for StreamingThink of it as a cozy spot for Netflix or YouTube, where I can arrange virtual couches, posters, or even snack tables—just like a real living room.Personalization & OwnershipCurrently, we have a static home menu with limited cu
Hello,This is about the Meta Quest Media Studio web site : https://creator.oculus.com/manage/mediastudioThis tool is used to manage a creator portfolio and upload immersive content like 180 or 360 video or Quill creations.Problem: the tool requires a Facebook profile to be used. It's possible to login with a Meta account but then it immediately requires to connect a Facebook account. Not everyone has a Facebook profile or want to link it with their Meta account. Please make it possible to use this with the Meta account (or at least with a linked Instagram account).Currently after logging with a Meta account it shows the following screen: Note that the message talks about the "Oculus mobile app", this doesn't exist, it's called "Meta Horizon". But the point is that we should not need to install a mobile app and connect it with a Facebook profile in order to use the Meta Quest Media Studio website. This would allow more people to contribute immersive content for the platform.Tha
I just got a Quest 3 and activated all the move stuff. I'm pretty disappointed to find out that health connect no longer works? The only answer I could find about this fact was they needed something from Google.. but then gave up and dropped the feature entirely? Why??? I suppose I can just keep wearing my watch while using it but it seems so weird they just dropped it.
I have read the guide about using OVR Metrics Tool. But, OVR Metrics Tool can only save the performance as a .csv file when my Quest 3 is running an app.How can I get performance metrics and save the data into a .csv file when my Quest is not running any app?
Release the quest to india too, huge population would be great for a product launch. Recently apple also setup there manufacturing in india which was a great move.
The toggle switches in the "Hide app activity" menu of the Meta Profile Privacy Settings do exactly the opposite of what the menu name suggests.By default, each app's switch is set to "on", so you expect to "hide [the] app activity" by default. But changing a switch to "off" reveals that now t hat app's activity is hidden (the word "Hidden" appears). This is the case both in the Meta Horizon mobile app and in Quest OS 71.(For a different reason, I had contact with Meta Support and pointed out this confusion, after which they agreed and suggested me to mention it here in the developer forum.) tl;dr: the "Hide app activity" menu should be called "Show app activity" to be in line with the toggle switches' current behavior.

I am getting this warning when I upload my title to the Meta Quest store using ovr-platform-util. "This app contains both 32-bit (armeabi-v7a) and 64-bit (arm64-v8a) libraries. This consumes extra storage and increases download times. Consider updating your build to target 64-bit only."As can be seen in my project setting to the right in the screenshot below, I only have ARM64 selected so unsure why 32 bit libraries are included too. Is this a bug in ovr-platform-util or is there some other setting I need to play with in Unity?
I have an application in Unreal Engine 5.2. When I try and view a captured frame, I do not get any information in the Tile Timeline. It appears to load the capture fine, and I get information in the Timeline, Event Browser and other windows.I get the the following error at the end of the log:Android 1469 09:54:25 vk_counters.cpp(1361) Error Failed to retrieve vulkan renderstage trace results. Here is the full log for context (username and serial numbers have been sanitized): https://pastebin.com/HnCgZwAEIs this a known issue? Is there any known way to resolve it? Any help in getting the Tile Timeline and Tile Browser working would be most appreciated. Thanks!
